i would be playing it for the new gold weapons but it seems they do not currently exist on ps4/xbone and can only be modded in on pc. so until a patch makes those weapons actually available il be playing bloodborne and borderlands to get my loot fix from gaming.

also tho the weapons could use a lil more variety. as others have said there are not many to choose from an the main reason for me to keep playing is to explore an find new loot an items an stuff to play around with. i dont tend to play co-op or mulitplayer but will give it a go at some point. im not even max level yet an i feel i have to stop for a bit jus cos of the weapons or lack of them. its nice you added a few more at later levels tho.

Na i really dont play to much anymore. Theres needs to be more to do after you beat the game. I love this game and put a good amount of time into it. But once you beat the main story and all the quests. I kind of moved on. I still play from time to time searching for the gold weapons. And just killing zombies and having fun. But theres not enough end game content to keep me playing all the time

I play BTZ 9/10 times as Hunter, and tiny bit as a human.

I'm in love with Night Hunters speed, flying though the city and roaring... like a mix of spiderman's venom and predator.

This mode is very dynamic and a real blast. It should  get as much dev love as it can!

I also love just run through the town at night picking fights and running away.

I maxed my character during my main play through and I am still playing the game to unlock the hard mode outfits on hard game+. After that, there isn't much reason to continue playing, except for when I'm playing with friends. Or I'm bored of other games and feel like running around Harran trying to find the last few zombie statues/flags, as I've currently given up on finding gold weapons on the PS4 version. I'll play more once more content is added, but I will probably stop again if it's just a one and done affair.

That being said I think the developers did an amazing job on the game. I hope you guys continue to improve and expand upon Dying LIght with massive expansion story DLCs that open up new parts of Harran while continuing the story after Rais' defeat or telling the stories of survivors in other parts of the city state that. Either in a similar fashion to Bethesda's Elder Scrolls/Fallout expansions or something similar to Dead Island: Riptide with Dying Light 2. Even without massive update/ a new game smaller updates could give players things to do in the post game/after reaching max level.  Here's some of the problems I've seen and suggestion s no how to improve them:

Air drops:

These were fun to collect early in the game, and story wise it made sense to have them stop dropping. Having the airdrops return would add something fun to do post story. It would also make sense for  airdrops to resume since everyone knows there are still survivors in the quarantine zones after the Broadcast mission. To keep airdrops meaningful after reaching the max survivor rank, the quartermasters could award a weapon docket for packages instead of survivor exp.

Challenges:

Much like the airdrops listed above, their isn't much incentive to replay these on new game+ when you're already at max Survivor, Agility, and Power Rank. A simple change would be to award weapon mods based on the difficulty of the challenge instead of exp after reaching the max level of the skill the challenge awards exp for.

Gold Weapons:

Address the issues with no one being able to find them on the PS4/One, while Increasing the drop rate to 1%

Be the Zombie:

Scale the Night Hunter's health/attack strength based on the number and rank of the survivors. This way the Night Hunter wont be under powered when fighting four maxed out survivors, while also not becoming extremely over powered when fighting a single low rank player. Night Hunters could also use an increased defense against all bullets.

Post Game content:

New side quests, challenges or randomly repeating events that only become available after completing the main story line and/or story lines of futures DLCs.

Sadly I stopped playing once zombie army trilogy came out.beat it and got most all trophies but 1..playing horde online is straight chaos.can't stop playing.

I haven't gone through dying light in hard mode.I definitely plan on it..and can't wait for the horde release.

I tried be the zombie..its cool..just didn't get into it..and for me..I didn't find the co-op online fun at all..but that's just me..I played DL for well over a month..every free minute.and I think the main game/graphics and killing the zombies is the best game I've played ever..you guys did a fantastic job.

When you release the horde game..I'll be back..and probably go through hard mode

unfortunaly this post doesn't hit the mark for what I'm sure you guys are looking for.wish I could give a better "what else to do for the game"..but to me..the main game is chupacabra.and I wouldn't change a thing

my .02

I just read everyone's posts.

And I did read a post that has me thinking.. capture the flag..YES Please.night and daytime ..

I played Unreal Tournament 99 and 03 and played for hours upon hours mainly ctf.

Tell ya what..I can already imagine the greatness this add on could keep me intrested FOREVER..what would really be sick as chupacabra. ..being able to play as zombies...I can already imagine 2 teams of zombies going after..get this..instead of a flag..a head.. capture the head.lol

seriously though...ctf as zombies

win win win

Hey guys,

We have a very simple question for you.

If you completed the game, and/or maxed out your character, do you still play Dying Light?

If so, what do you like to do in the game? What do you spend your time on?

Share your thoughts, videos, and comments right here.

Likes Searching for Gold weapons as Survivor on console PS4!

Likes Rushing nest versus invading Hunter, swatting him down like a fly time after time untill he leaves in frustration.

Spends my time waiting for Invasions to connect as Hunter in BTZ mode average 2 match an hour if lucky. Level 49 Rank Juggernaut

I'm replaying the Story again, but i missed a lot the first time, and just going around the city is pretty fun etc, I really wish there were a lot of randomized side quests open up when you finish the game, mini games, air drops etc, bandits and civilians maybe even cops or military.. just some ideas..

I wish they'd unlock some Female Skins for the Ladies (i'm not a lady just saying lol)

Not a huge fan of the Timed challenges though..

Completed a full play through on Normal and not found one new weapon at all, none out of 50!

As a maxed Character, I can tell you that a majority of my time is spent looting/searching for gold weapons (1 week later) and coop with friends. I no longer participate in BTZ matches as a human player, the invasions are annoying and all I hear is "Nerf the Human". I have been hunting Demolishers in NG+ and spending time pretty much booting whatever I can off the roof of any building available.

I spend all of my time in old town due to the availability of airdrop chests, but other than that, now I pretty much run and loot.

300 total hours played. 100+ since last update. Loved the game but not putting in hundreds of more hours just to get weapons that won't be much of a difference damage wise. Had the same problem with Dead Island as well. Techland makes a good game but they try to keep you playing long after the fun is gone. The gold weapons should be at least 2 or 3 levels better than orange with this drop rate, not 1.

In my experience I haven't played so much after beating it, hard mode is great but the biggest let down was that weapons still do too much damage I'm stuck using a duped tahir's weapon that does 230 points of damage to actually "fight" zombies that's were my fun comes in

Seems like I never continue playing after the main story story arc is over except that the co-op is awesome so all additions should have both multi and single player in mind. I would add more dynamic events and respawnable activities but add some story in there. Like say you rescue some survivor and he tells a story if you escort him home. Doesn't have to be part of main narrative but just his story. Maybe he tells you how him and his gf were gonna jump in sea together  but he chickened out at last second and later a different survivor tells you he seen a guy push a woman off a cliff. Anyway it would add atmosphere or backstory to events and just add a whole bunch of them. More challenges, quarantine zones etc. And if you want some serious mileage then add some sort of pvp or capture the airdrop/safehouse/resources or siege or add them all together. Look at TLOU. Also maybe add some gonzo weapons like a big plastic bat that has super high impact but real low damage so they will fly a bit when you hit them. And maybe some timed explosives/firecrackers or remote traps with some distance. Idk but just add alternative strategies and fun ways to kill zombies maybe with some leaderboards or something to see other players stats like top 25 longest play times, top 25 infected killed, top 25 lowest time in camo, etc but add more sstats. One last thing is add a lot more blueprints and craftables. Make one whole section of blue prints just for gimping a weapon like taking a 1400dmg jatana and making it a 300dmg blunt. And a small section of gold bp's that require unusual and extreme ingredients  100 batteries, 100 household supplies, 50 bolter tissues, 50 goon livers etc etc. Anyway just my $0.02...

I've been playing a lot but im not so active (300h), first reason I started and finished a hard game + mod the day the 1.5 was out, and didnt get the rewards so I have to get it through again. I've spent a long time farming gold weapons, never found one. But, anyway, there is no really use of those, its not like in Diablo 3 when you really get a good legendary you can progress forward. There is no challenge i didnt make in hard mod+. I like coop but, like someone says, most of the players have their mic on, but they dont reply, you can hear all the noises from their home... And most of the the time they dont know nothing about fun teamplay. They dont write, they dont talk they dont wait, or they are afk. Already posted my ideas about high end content for the game in dev's suggestions tread. I think it wll be great to improve and motivate coop, balancing pvp BTZ mod by restritcing numbers of items that can be use. Cause by modding the game you can have large amount of everything and use it in PVP and THAT is not fair. I don't pvp much though. Loot system must be revamped as well there is too many very hard chest with chupacabra Inside, I' drather find a lot less but with much interesting things Inside, and remove orange and purple weapons from vendors should be great as well, cause it just killed the solo game motivations on high end content.

I will play again, I'm just farming in other games right now, D3 and DI epidemic. Good night and good luck to all runners!

I love this game I don't play it as much as I used too as I've maxed my character and completed the game I do survival or just mess around on multiplayer. I would love to see new guns being entered into the game I know the game evolves around creating weapons but what about being able to purchase different ammo types or adding more blueprints so your able to craft such things i.e. dragons breath or like a freeze blast type ammo it was just a thought anyway like I said I do love this game so much better than dead island and what dead island 2 is looking to become . Thank you TECHLAND !!!

Oh I would love to have explosive tip crossbow or bow and arrow (after thought)

Didn't read through all the posts, so appologies if I'm repeating. But it would be great if the game would reset all the safe houses and repopulate them with more dangerous enemies (or random enemies), ala Far Cry.

Other than that, amazing game!

Are you talking about when you beat the game and just free roam or new game plus?

I don't know about resetting all safe houses like Far Cry 3 would work well or a few reasons. One, the safe houses in Dying Light aren't that challenging to do and a small compared to Far Cry3/4s outposts. (with the exception of the two outposts in Old Town.) Second, resetting all outposts in Far Cry was to have the enemies spawn across the map again. Instead of the option to reset all outposts as in Far Cry 3, they could use a similar system to Far Cry 4s Outpost Master missions. Instead of using safe houses they could use the Quarantine Zones. At the basic level they could simply add the option to replay Quarantine Zones simply by visiting and selecting their doors again. Or they could take a step further and take a page from the Outpost Master missions by adding a scoring system to them. The system would award points for kills, etc in a similar fashion to Far Cry 4, but with an added timer. Each Zone would have a par time. Finishing under par earns bonus points for everyone second you were under par. The leader board scores would be separated based on the number of players.
