Be The Zombie Hacker (Proof)

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, recently today i was playing with a few friends in be the zombie(me as "IanHawke" and the hacker being "His own d*ck" obviously without the * and with an i). During this match we were taking out nests instantly (by using guns and bows, because in the head they instant kill, and as far as i know that isn't cheating), however a player had the cognition that this was "cheating". We explained to him it wasn't but he replied "Fine, this will work", later on we realized that his devious plan was to use a literal cheat and became invulnerable, this is evident through one of the images i have provided where you can see that his health is so much that it is out of his health bar. To further prove this, you can even see him confessing to it when he says "It's called counter-cheating". I know that everyone (including myself) would love to see something happen to this actual hacker because it isn't as if he is cheating in a single player game but instead an actual PVP match where he has attained the highest rank.

Here you can see his health going out of his health bar:

Sorry? Are you talking about the fact that i use guns when playing as the humans, to take out nests efficiently? What about the fact that this player used a trainer to give himself invulnerability? I myself am primarily a hunter player, and you know what i do when i find people using guns for nests? I don't just outright cheat and instead beat them fairly. I mean, god forbid i use something that is in the game and can be beaten, but the guy that gets so salty and hacks so that he literally become invulnerable to any attack, just let him go.

I wasn't defending his hacks in any way. OHK nests are not meant to be in the game so just don't =) Most of the times it takes out the whole nest too, not just the volatile spawn you shot in the head. As for hacking, you can abort the game or if you're playing with multiple people, dropkick chain, spikes, DFAs.

I just see him evening the odds tbh. At first you guys were having a fair game, but you and your friends were exploiting/abusing a game bug that wasn't supposed to be in the game to win. And when he doesn't have any bugs to exploit, he just hacks to even the odds to keep you from winning. I'm not sure why you're mad at this guy for doing something back to you, you were doing to him first. While it wasn't "hacking" it was cheating. You weren't playing the game correctly and using OHK's on nests.

don't listen to some of these hunter that clearly not know what's right and what's wrong.

OHK nest is a bug that will be fixed next update, but using 3rd party program to cheat to even it out is stupid and should be banned.

and i just hope the dev fix it so that 3rd party program no longer works next update

"Some of these hunters" implies more than one and since there are just me and RaceyStorm replying here, I assume you mean me too. I said I don't approve cheating and I gave the alternative which is to abort. Hacking is definitely wrong and shouldn't be used to "even the odds" but abusing the ohk nest bug is just as stupid in my opinion. =)

the OHK nest will get fixed you know that, and he probably didn't know it's a bug, and he is just reporting about the 3rd party tool, so no need to beat him up about the OHK.

i really wish the dev changes something in next update so the 3rd party tool no longer works, aborting is not always an option especially to some people that care about their rank

Damn, you know i never thought people hated one hit kills on the nests as much as they did but then again that is because i don't mind it myself (keep in mind i am a hunter player at heart and nearly max rank on all my characters). Although, i'm sorry to make it "personal" but racey, you need to check your morals, if you see hacking to become invulnerable to any attack as "evening the odds" then really think about the situation. Like i said before, when i am against people who use one hit kills on nests i don't "even the odds" as you suggest, i smash them into the ground and win regardless of the nests dying instantly.

*However i can see how it would be unintended because it can give humans an unfair advantage if the hunter player isn't "good"

*Also, why are am i even debating about this?! The whole point of this thread was to spread the awareness of more hacking software coming in.

OHKs on nests is a huge balancing issue, how can you not see that? Do you remember the days of EXPcalibur, airstrike flares or just endgame survivors? That was not fair at all no matter how good of a hunter you were. The only reason it may seem alright now is because of the rubber banding system giving a boost to hunters who are falling behind but OHKs in the hands of a good survivor completely invalidates this.

But back on the subject of hacking, Pete is aware of this and is currently looking into why this is allowed in VAC secured games.

Hey jcks, sorry for the miscommunication on this but i do see it as a balancing issue and identify it as an unfair resource for the humans. However i was trying to get across to people who saw it as something that warranted hacking, that it actually doesn't because even it can still be beaten unlike invincibility (which i came across with this player).

Thanks.

Ah I see what you mean. Yeah back then the hunter could fight survivor exploits with his own (infinite spit, instant recovery from ground pound) but since those have been patched he has nothing to stop any new survivor exploit. That doesn't justify hacking at all though, at that point he's just making the game easy mode. Having infinite health is on a differently level than OHKs because the only way you can kill him is with DFA.

I'm not saying Hacking is ok. I don't think the other guy is right for hacking. But he did ask if they could stop OHK the nests. They didn't listen. Sure, he could have left too.

My moral is -- if you do something to someone, don't get mad if they do it back(No, it isn't. It is for this particular issue though). Plus, his hack didn't make him invulnerable. The OP said it made his HP longer. I mean, he made his HP longer so he wouldn't die as quickly and he could actually defend the nests besides the nests being OHK'd.

Actually, it made him completely invincible to any attack, couldn't die whatsoever. So take that into consideration and you can understand it.

*Also he never said to stop instead just said "Fine this will work" and became INVINCIBLE, not just "longer hp"

*And if he did say to stop i would have, in fact i never knew it was a "bug" because i just assumed that it was brought along with the legend levels and how much damage you can do with "guns" maxed out, i think that this is the point i need to get across and i'm genuinely sorry for not getting around to it sooner.

I hate to be that guy but you were not playing the game as intended. You were exploiting the game to kill nests faster than intended (which is being a bug being removed next patch) and that is the definition of unfair play. Everyone knows the survivor has the advantage anyway and still you still proceeded to cheat. I don't condone cheating in any form in an online PVP game.... but you came here to cry about being out cheated? Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? You're a cheater he's a cheater. Saying I would have done this or that really doesn't cut it. You cheated and led him to cheat and that is simple cause - effect.

I remember a time when games had policies like, "using known exploits online will result in account termination with no exceptions."

Dude!?!?! I just stated that i had no idea it was a bug, for all i knew it was just brought along with the legend skills and the crazy amount of damage you could do with guns. Seriously..... are you even reading my posts!!

You wanna know something? I commend this Night Hunter. You were being a cheating scumbag. He definitely didn't even the odds, he straight up made the game unwinnable for you. Which is what cheaters like you deserve.

He didn't enter the game cheating. He was clearly playing fair. He noticed you cheating and POLITELY asked you to stop. You proceeded to continue cheating so he gave you what you deserve, punishment. Which is what cheaters like you deserve. Maybe if people who cheated like you got punished by being served an invincible Night Hunter, less people would cheat.

The devs are taking a while to fix this game, so until then I strongly believe that players should provide justice to cheaters.

I'm going to go on record and say that hacking or modding in an online game to give you an edge is wrong, but in this case he did it to punish you for being a cheating scumbag. Justice :)

What? Umm.... What? That is a whole lot of assuming you are doing there. Firstly i never said if he asked politely for us to stop, instead all he said was that we are all cheaters without explaining that this whole (what i though mechanic) thing was actually a bug and unintended. You don't understand that i rarely play human anymore, nor do i check the forums for "bugs" but hey i feel like i'm just repeating myself over and over, but no one seems to reading what i'm putting. Secondly JUSTICE? My my, so then what? Lets use a metaphor, lets say that i am a blind man (because i had no idea what i was doing was wrong) and you see me walking the middle of the road. Do you just assume "Oh what an idiot, must be drunk" or do you actually learn the situation and realize that this person in the road is blind and say "Hey mate, let me help you and put you on the right path." Please read and learn the entire situation because you can't go through life just assuming things about people. Also, remind me to never be a PR person because oh my god this is tiring.

You could have started by reading the known bugs/exploit thread or at the very least the patch notes thread.

It's really not gonna work to tell people to read everything and then be that guy who didn't even really bother to read significant areas of the forums before coming to make a rant.

Yes but I never said "Oh! One hit killing isn't cheating! I don't care what you say!" Unlike people on here who's replies can be summed up to "You exploited a bug and made the game unfair! You deserved it!" Straight after I replied that I was completely oblivious to it, and they had to do no digging whatsoever to find it. Also why would I bother reading every bugs thread if I have no interest in it? All I tried to do was report a hacker, and wow look at the hate towards me. Bugs have no relevance to me unlike the people coming to this thread and actually having interest with what is going on, but not bothering to read any of the posts. I don't know, and Lord knows I'm sorry for any wrong I've done in trying to do some good. I think that's it from me.

I'm sorry.

Justice my chupacabra. I do play Night hunter so I am somewhat happy this is patched- (I do play my survivor often as well so it would have been useful.), but making yourself unkillable vs OHK-ing nests. I think I see the clear winner here. Being unkillable makes the game 20x more difficult for the survivors- or Night Hunter depending on who uses it, meanwhile OHK-ing nests makes things like 5x harder for the Night Hunter. This is exaggeration of course but that's beside the point. Now I do agree that they should have stopped before he activated god-mode, because that would have saved them the trouble and the match would have been fair. But these people did not cheat, they used something that was in the game, something that was removed quickly to make things more fair.
