No not really last few matches I've played that's all they do I haven't found an effective counter for when they uv block uv spit smash and pounce I've thrown flares and somehow get pounced just outside of them. Sometimes I can drop kick but they still spit smash and that's not counting when they come in from above hell I can't even dodge most normal ground pounds it seems like the radius is always changing in favor of the hunter I think they need to reduce the area of effect if you can't dodge a ground pound by dodging two times without still getting hit

You are not serious, hunter have to wait for 2 spits to be charged completely to be able to use spitsmash and it has same disadvantages as normal GP - miss = death.

If i were waiting for my spits to be fully charged i would lose my match before i used it 5 times, you have to be playing like a snail and rarely killing hunters if you allow them to fully charge they spits.

While playing Hunter mode the hunter kept glitching through into the safe zones and not getting hurt also what seems like morphing and killing my team. Could this be looked into.

Could you provide a footage?

The hunter entering the safe zone and pouncing everybody is normal stuff. The UV light in safe zones doesn't interrupt pounce, it just takes NH health. NH have small amount of time to enter the safe zone (about 4s) and kill, the upgraded leapfrog skill allows him to pounce everybody before he die (i was called a hacker using trainer because of that). Safe Zones are not really safe unless you know how to protect yourself there. Try to hide in the rooms with locked door and throw some flares, the deeper you are the safer you are, everything that will force NH to lose his time will do.

i think i already said this in other thread a while ago, there should be a damage adjustment to throwing weapon (Throwing Knives, Throwing Axes, and Throwing Star) especially if they are modded (have toxic/fire mod) as it's render goon useless as they just can kill the nest from high area and also damage to the nest is way too fast compared when you hit the nest directly using one/two handed weapon

also is there a ignore/block feature in these forum? as someone is harassing me by repeatedly sending me pm like this

"Listen mate, I don't know what got in your head if you think there's balance, but I think we can have a civil conversation if you'd make a video and send it to me. Atleast you can prove yourself wrong then, and that you are a man. But really, do it."

i just want to answer for the last time i dont need to prove you anything, as your video already showed that you make so many mistake especially regarding your GP execution and you don't even use spit combo like spit-pounce or spit-tackle or even GP-Spit. that's why i said again and again do read some of the tips posted here and try them.

That depends because the settings here have quite a drastic effect on game quality from all sides.

If we take a hunter hurrying back onto the scene thinking "dang, they kill those nests too quickly" then the question is: why is the hunter in a position of hurrying back? The type who misses too many opportunities and/or is too ambitious doesn't deserve to catch up here only because "the night hunter shall be feared, hmmkay?". :D Given the hunter's current speed and abilities in a 1v1 situation or 2v1 situation, I think the values are ok, even if I still believe hunter to be op in these situations based on personal experience.

Towards 3v1 or 4v1, I am more inclined to agree with you. Do note however, that part of the rewarding survivor experience is the ability to destroy nests, and so upping the stamina of nests indefinitely, along with the increases in nest zombies and hunter agility will make killing nests more of a chore and less of a pleasure. If this were such a straightforward parameter to modify, the game mode would be perfect with adjusting damage to nests exclusively. That's why grain of salt might be necessary. Even if patching exploits was necessary, it's in nobody's interest to deny survivors smart- or more effective ways to kill nests, as the image of a survivor needing upwards of dozens of hits to kill a thing is an image of helplessness/frustration. Nobody, including present hunters ;) wants to be in their shoes.

You're popular here so no need to rub it in Nova... we know you have all kinds of groupies. :PLol, prove yourself so that we can have a civil conversation with you as a full man at least. The logic policing is becoming more common, which I suppose is the good news. Ask the guy if he accepts Viagra spam as online proof of manhood, and how that would affect their assessment of balance of the game. Also, why not "prove the imbalance videos" to even the playing field a bit? Reminds me to act my age with all the ten year old lurkers, posters, hunters, and survivors out there and here.

yeah it's more a problem in 3/4vs1, zombie in nest is fine since they already increase it in the following update,

and yeah it's strange one, asking for civil conversation and yet he telling my i'm not a man unless i post video.

anyway hopefully there's a good update coming soon so i can play again :)

Nests can be destroyed too fast with throwing stars

I just hate how loud they are. Everyone and their grandmas dupe them, and I just hear:

Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.

Every other match, no matter where I am on the map, they just keep going. Its really annoying.

(But yea, a little less damage on ranged weapons would be nice as well.)

Same thing with explosive arrows, except explosive arrows also create a huge chupacabra cloud of particles that are absolutely blinding!

So, I've just now come back to Dying Light after 2 months, and I'm just going to ask here since I can't find answers from credible people.

Is the running boost that the night hunter gets after tendrilling to the ground an intended mechanic, or is it an exploit that they're using to overwhelm the humans? As a human player, I already have an answer to this play style, I'm just not sure if it's an actual change in the meta, or if it's not supposed to be that way.

Yes, actually. It's been a mechanic ever since the release of Dying Light Enhanced Edition and The Following DLC. If ya you need further proof, just check near the beginning of this thread; I think Pete Donnelly has it mentioned in one of the patch notes. Edited by GrandPappyWilliams

I kind of had a feeling that it was, since the transition seems pretty fluid when you execute it. Thanks! It's nice to see the meta evolving in this game, it always keeps me on edge when I face new hunters overtime.

There's also been some other significant changes aswell. Such as spit smashes making spit effects last around twice as long.

Interesting, that makes things other than UV spit useful when you spit smash. I'll have to do some watching and reading before my ELO score takes a hit, haha

I watched a video today of a survivor killing a nest in under 6 seconds using 5 burning throwing stars..... I have been hearing people use explosive arrows a lot now but that is crazy. That means if you die (NH) when the humans first reach the nest they can easily kill all of them before you respawn. As if dealing with all the other stuff the survivors get wasn't troublesome enough.

Funny thing is I heard techland will still be supporting this game for another year but all we've gotten was dlcs that should have been free with the season pass and none of the bugs fixed hell devs won't even respond anymore

Not sure why but was in middle of a good match when 2 survivors joined and the credits appeared on screen for me, as night hunter. Was unable to do anything. Also figured I'd add in a nice mid-air tackle dodge that is supposedly not supposed to happen. I know, it's lag.... then what's the point. Just let them dodge anytime then.

Also when that happens, it appears that you simply leave the match, meaning you will get a lose.
