  2. Hello! I'm a relatively small YouTube channel! I just started a few days ago, and i'm not so sure about fair use laws yet; despite doing research. Generally I gathered it's always good to ask for permission if you're unsure! So, I'm hoping this would be the right place to ask, because i need permission to publish a review of Dying Light! So, Techland could i use the footage i captured of Dying Light in my review of the game? I know i need permission to monetize my videos! So that's why i'm asking! I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and i will respect whatever decision you choose to make!

I have been playing this game since its release...let me apologize in advance to any "gamers" who are offended of my comments.I feel there are ways of playing a game I like and I don't disrespect the game .the ways I see it is like this.I have never spammed in any sort of way I have never entered a quarantine finished it and entered right back in to accumulate drops.I have never dupped a weapon or even picked up a dupped weapon.I have been dropped dupped overpowered weapons and instead left the "gamers" lobby instead. I have never left my game on in a "safe zone not safe zone" to boost up. I never even ran thru the story I took my time because I really like this game all the games I play I treat like this.Techland has put me in a bad position once you hit the high levels (I'm at 219 LEGIT) it's almost ridiculous the amount of boost 50 drops get you.DO YOU KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO GET 50 DROPS TECHLAND!thats 5 quarantine zones (if I'm playing alone) and a run thru of rais men drops (if they show up) and the drops that are always there.It becomes repetitive even when your not spamming! You have no choice but to get drops because that's the name of the game at this point so I'm literally getting on to do the same playthrough and trying my best to change it up AND STILL FARM SAVE LIVES AND SO ON So I'm not spamming.i will continue to respect the game by not cheating or spamming I NEVER GOOGLED WHERE THE STATUES OR FLAGS ARE AT I LITERALLY TRY TO FIND THEM ON MY OWN! but you got me running in circles.YOU COULD HAVE MADE A UPDATE IN SLUMS AND OLD TOWN WHERE THEY GET DROPS AGAIN INSTEAD OF CHANGING RAIS MEN INTO GRE CLOTHES AND GIVING THE GOON SOME HEIGHT AND A FEW EXTRA PIMPLES.I love the new gear but I told you before you waited so long to drop the DLC and it's somewhat disappointing.YOU GAVE THE SPAMMERS AND CHEATERS A SOLID DLC AND DIDNT GIVE THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LIKE TO IMMERSE THEMSELVES IN THE GAME A all the "gamers" who will respond negatively save it this is for techland only!
  4. I walk down a scary street at night. Not sure what horrors await me behind any corner. The atmosphere is perfect. I turn off the hud and don't use survivor sense to really immerse myself. As I move through the dark I'm suddenly my.. hud? Eyeball icons pop up over enemies heads. They warn me of the danger while also tagging enemies for me. I can't turn it off... I CAN'T TURN IT OFF! ..... I don't want to know where the monsters are. I don't want to know when I'm in danger. When I turned off the HUD, I want the ENTIRE hud off. Why are these icons still warning me of monsters? WHY CAN'T I TURN THEM OFF!? So as I wander in the darkness, spoiler after spoiler pops up. Monster over there.. and over there.. and over there. Oh wow, I wouldn't have seen him.. that would have been terrifying. ..... but that wonderful eyeball let me know well in advance. My pulse never climbing. No adrenaline rush. No sense of fear. These MANDATORY warnings ruin the game for me. I just want to turn them off so I can enjoy being in danger WITHOUT KNOWING IT! I want to suddenly hear the gurgles of a monster in the dark. Knowing that it means I've been spotted but having no clue where the monster is. I want panic to set in from being UNAWARE! However any time I actually am spotted. The game let's me know not only that I have been spotted, but who spotted me and where they are. Please please please, make it so when I turn off the hud... make it disable THE ENTIRE HUD. Please get rid of these eyeball icons on my screen. I don't use survivor sense but it doesn't matter. The game insists on warning me of danger. Constantly giving me information I DON'T WANT TO KNOW! It literally is the only thing standing between me and enjoying this game. Please make it optional, not mandatory. Thank you for your time. (This issue was posted on before however there was confusion regarding it. This is a repost to better clarify my issue and desire.) PS: This literally makes or breaks the game for me. If these warnings are never made optional. I just can't see myself enjoying the game. It will end up never being played all because of a simple hud element that could easily be made optional.

    Be The Zombie Mode Patch Notes

    For Dying Light Enhanced Edition: 1. Fixed an issue with the Shield negating stuck spits. 2. Melee damage to Nests and Hunter adjusted/re-tuned 3. Bullet damage to Nests and Hunter reduced 4. Difficulty of "Hard Nests" increased across all variation (1v1,2v1,3v1,4v1 -more defenders,goons,extra brood) 5. Hunters "UV Heal" skill is much quicker (I really like this allows for some new tricks) 6. Survivors flare cooldown cost is only applied if the flare was successfully thrown 7. Grappling hook cooldown cost increased 8. Fixed Grappling hook 1hit zombie defenders 9. Timeout loss for AFK Survivors 10.Timeout loss for Non-interaction (Survivors don't attack nests or interact with Hunter) 11. Survivors have 0% chance of winning Invasion rewards until at least 1 nest is destroyed or Hunter is killed 12. Outside damage mitigated while in PVP grab states (tackle, dropkick, pounce etc.) 13. DFA commitment. Survivors cannot quick roll out of a DFA attempt. 14. Fixed an issue with the Hunters 'cancel grounpound' input not being read if initiated early. 15. Fixed Hunter being blocked by Survival packages 16. Fixed Hunter Groundpound input not registering 17. Fixed Hunter UV block timer pausing while in PVP grab states. (would allow the Hunter to have the UV Block skill active longer than intended) 18. Fixed an issue with Shield NOT blocking a spit when it should (was checking angle to other player instead of angle to the spit itself) 19. Fixed an issue where Survivors could use the 'forward roll' skill to negate fall damage from a Tackle 20. AOE knockdown on successful tackle (Hunter) 21. Reduced wall hit stun for Survivors after being hit from a Groundpound 22. Fixed Hunter not receiving the win bonus XP for Humans cowering in fear 23. Hunter inherits more velocity when releasing tendrils 24. Hunter can transition directly from tendrils to sprint 25. Hunter can hold tackle input to trigger a successful tackle when available 26. Survivor or Hunter receive various buffs when falling too far behind in a match
  6. (THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT SURVIVOR SENSE, IT IS ABOUT THE THREAT DETECTION ICONS THAT APPEAR WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE SPOTTED) I absolutely love the look and feel of dying light. Unfortunately the game holds your hand no matter what difficulty you have it on. I waited so excited for "nightmare" mode and the ability to FINALLY turn off the HUD. Only to discover that the eyeball icons which warn you that you are about to be seen, still appear. I would say 75% of the fear of a monster comes from NOT knowing where it is. Unfortunately dying light does all it can to warn you of every little danger. Even if you turn off the hud for an absolutely beautiful game that feels immersive, the eyeball icons will pop up ruining that immersion and spoiling what could potentially be a scary situation. The enemies are so easy to avoid with all the warnings the game gives you. The game now has four difficulty settings and it holds your hand in all of them. So I beg you to please PPPPPLLLEASE get rid of the icons that let you know you are about to be seen. Also pllllllease consider AT LEAST putting a background timer on the x ray super power that lets you magically know where monsters are. I DON'T USE IT AT ALL THOUGH. Not that it matters with the icons warning me all the time anyway. Dying Light is an amazing game. I could see myself having tons of fun playing it if it didn't hold my hand like an infant. I waited so excited for this no HUD option and when I saw those eyeball icons still popping up, I wanted to cry. As it stands now, I will delete the game and try to find something else to do. Telling me where the monsters are literally kills all the fun for me. I don't mind having a warning OPTION, however that assist seems to be manditory no matter what difficulty you play on. It's amazing how something so little can literally ruin the fun. Please please please please please consider patching it so I can TURN OFF THREAT INDICATORS!!! If you do that, I will be addicted to an otherwise great game. If not, I probably won't ever play again. Thank you for your time. PS: This post is NOT about survivor sense!!! this post is about the threat detection icons. They are eyeball icons that appear over the heads of enemies when you are about to be spotted. These icons warn you of danger also while giving away enemy locations. They are NOT optional. You can NOT turn them off. Which is what this post is about. I do mention survivor sense because I believe it is a bit excessive. However that is not what this post is about and I do not use it.
  9. Hey all, just thought I'd throw out a quick request for a detailed overview of the newest patch regarding the "Be the Zombie" changes. The enhancements look extensive, and I'm sure many of us would love an overview similar to what what provided during the last patch! For those who don't know, the Devs here were kind enough to give us a very detailed overview of the details of the last patch. What was previously provided was much more detailed than the actual Patch Notes, and I know I was sincerely grateful for the detailed description of the changes. Since it appears there's a big change in the way the Night Hunter is played, a rundown of new abilities and what this means for current Hunter players would be greatly appreciated! We can use this thread to discuss changes (but let's keep it civil!). It's wonderful that the Devs would put these kinds of core-gameplay changes in, and the request is simply so we all have the most information possible. TL;DR: After the previous patch, the Devs put out a detailed review of the "Be the Zombie" changes on this board. Devs, would you mind doing so again for the new changes?

  11. Copy pasta from my nexus file This mod aim for Dying Light "trailer like" gameplay where everything look threatening enough at day, while the night are only meant for seasoned runner. Current mod achievement (so far) New Night Mode system, your action will produce sound that attract more Night Walker (night viral type). Either go stealth, GO LOUD!!, or go home. Survivor event at night, are you willing to risk your life for saving random night?? Hostile Survivor, some people are desperate enough to get what they need in order to survive. Brand new loot tier system, Instead of getting current weapon level tier over and over. the weapon you get will be randomized, where the higher the weapon tier, the harder the percentage to get it. Huge nerf to melee weapon, now top tier two-handed weapon only does 300 damage max. Firearms adjusting making pistol type worth using (Hitting enemy in arm and leg now also do bonus damage). Also swapping police rifle characteristic with military rifle. Increase Rifle Ammo to 150, Pistol to 80. Explosive, Increasing explosive damage while limiting the max ammount of explosive you can carry to 5 only. Remove day Viral icon on radar. Now you have to depend on the voice. Preview Skill (for testing purpose, will be removed later on) Enable Takedown (stomp, front & back takedown) at power lv. Enable charge attack at power lv.2 On Progress Specialization skill (Planned, still working on it), make your character doing better at some stuff, while reducing the the other stat. Also special thx to techland to make modding possible (and fun ofc). I hope the modding tool allow us to access certain data that require hexcode or other complicated stuff that i don't undertand Feel free to post about feedback and stuff here
  12. Who among you feels downtrodden beneath the Humans' blood-stained boots? Their rugged leather stamped cleanly upon your brow; swords of legend, forged in fire, nestled comely between your eyes. Who among you raises your tendril-slathered fists to the moon and cries once upon each fortnight, "Goddamn Humans!" No more. Now, we have our own weapon. They have Flares, but will they use them in time? They have guns, but are their fingers quick enough to slay you? They are not, and nay, they are not. Using your UV Block, approach the Human with extreme prejudice. Leap. Leap into the night like the majestic lion you are. And look down upon the face of your meal. Look down upon it like a hungry man looks down upon the face of a cooked lobster and says, "I don't care if you have eyes. You're already dead." Essentially, the Pounce ability can be used safely as long as you are directly behind a person. Humans do not "snap" to you, despite how the animation looks, unless you are to the side or in front of them. With this method, you escape the Human's "Dead Zone" of vision by actually Pouncing when you are, for all intents and purposes, behind the Human. Because you are still allowed to Pounce, you prevent the Human from being able to turn quickly enough to UV you and home in for the kill. Now this, of course, does NOT work if there is already a Flare on the ground. But if you approach the Human before they can do anything preventative (i.e. throw a Flare), it's a flawless Pounce. And the best part about this strategy? It's hyper-aggressive, in-your-face fun. No longer will you be the hunted. You are the Night Hunter. Now take back the night, goddamnit.

I was asking for some clarification to avoid any problems in future, as we know many people got Content ID strikes or even DMCA notices back in in October/November on their another big release : Middle Earth : Shadow of Mordor This is their respond by email : Hello, Thank you for your email. Customer Service So i see conflicting reports as Developers here on forum said we can monetize and upload Dying light on Youtube but on the other side Warner Bross is giving us limits for 5 min of Footage and no monetization I was asking about it in next email and they confirmed 5 min of footage is their internal policy. I have small youtube channel(1k subscribers) so this question is addressed for small/medium youtubers as big channels are in partnership with WB. 95% of people are uploading videos of Dying Light longer than 5 min so are they at risk?
