  1. hi. I have a few questions about saves and difficulties and hope someone can tell me more. 1. I just finished the campaign on normal and the save options showed change to hard, nightmare and new game +. but after starting the following these options disappeared and "back to campaign" appeared. what does this do? will I lose progress if I chose this? 2. whats different on hard and nightmare? and does newgame+ change anything on difficulty too? 3. to unlock nightmare reward for campaign {anything for hard too?) do i have to change difficulty and then start newgame+?
  2. (THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT SURVIVOR SENSE, IT IS ABOUT THE THREAT DETECTION ICONS THAT APPEAR WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE SPOTTED) I absolutely love the look and feel of dying light. Unfortunately the game holds your hand no matter what difficulty you have it on. I waited so excited for "nightmare" mode and the ability to FINALLY turn off the HUD. Only to discover that the eyeball icons which warn you that you are about to be seen, still appear. I would say 75% of the fear of a monster comes from NOT knowing where it is. Unfortunately dying light does all it can to warn you of every little danger. Even if you turn off the hud for an absolutely beautiful game that feels immersive, the eyeball icons will pop up ruining that immersion and spoiling what could potentially be a scary situation. The enemies are so easy to avoid with all the warnings the game gives you. The game now has four difficulty settings and it holds your hand in all of them. So I beg you to please PPPPPLLLEASE get rid of the icons that let you know you are about to be seen. Also pllllllease consider AT LEAST putting a background timer on the x ray super power that lets you magically know where monsters are. I DON'T USE IT AT ALL THOUGH. Not that it matters with the icons warning me all the time anyway. Dying Light is an amazing game. I could see myself having tons of fun playing it if it didn't hold my hand like an infant. I waited so excited for this no HUD option and when I saw those eyeball icons still popping up, I wanted to cry. As it stands now, I will delete the game and try to find something else to do. Telling me where the monsters are literally kills all the fun for me. I don't mind having a warning OPTION, however that assist seems to be manditory no matter what difficulty you play on. It's amazing how something so little can literally ruin the fun. Please please please please please consider patching it so I can TURN OFF THREAT INDICATORS!!! If you do that, I will be addicted to an otherwise great game. If not, I probably won't ever play again. Thank you for your time. PS: This post is NOT about survivor sense!!! this post is about the threat detection icons. They are eyeball icons that appear over the heads of enemies when you are about to be spotted. These icons warn you of danger also while giving away enemy locations. They are NOT optional. You can NOT turn them off. Which is what this post is about. I do mention survivor sense because I believe it is a bit excessive. However that is not what this post is about and I do not use it.
  3. Any chance you guys can patch the game to make bombers not instantly kill you on normal difficulty? I always walk around with max life and it's not fun when a bomber instantly kills me. There are two difficulties in Dying Light: Normal - Bombers instantly kill you. Hard - Bombers instantly kill you. See the problem?

    Cannot Set Hard Mode

After completing the game I wanted to set the difficulty on hard mode, I am aware you made this available through a patch, but I cant find hard mode setting anywhere. Currently am running dying light through steam on PC. Please help. (I want to change my difficulty from normal to hard mode, without starting all over again)
  5. The Survival mod is intended to make life a little more like a survival game by reducing a lot of factors that make Dying Light too much of an arcade game for me and my coop friends. Now you'll have to spend more time scavaging parts you need and crafting should mean using your resources wisely. I have a lot planned to make this a more fleshed out mod, so I'll keep adding content and I'm happy to implement ideas the community has that would fit the mod. For things like hunger, dehydration and sleep.. I may have to wait for the mod-tools to be available.. but when they are!!! Here are some of the features I currently have working. Please consider that there are many mods available now that currently do the same or similar, we're all tweaking the same files from data0.pak - Increased difficulty: now you'll need to earn more experience to gain the higher level skills. Some skills will require more than 1 point to obtain. - Increased level cap and experience required to get there. Currently up to level 40 in all three skill trees. This means you may not be able to get EVERY skill as this would need 42+ skill points, so spend wisely. This works very well in co-op where you can share the burden of crafting items. - Removed frequency of a lot of loot drops. In many situations, you're just as likely to get an empty cupboard as you were to find something. This also removed certain items from locations that seem out of place. (no more disc blades in kitchen cupboards, for example) - Now the only place to get metal scrap is from weapons you find. Decide if you want to repair your own with the metal scrap, or sell a found item for cash. Loot is dramatically reduced. - Added cooldown to flashlight (45 seconds use, 6 second recharge - Added stamina usage to kick (this seems to only function when stamina is already draining from melee) - Reduced ammo carry capacity for pistol, shotgun and rifle (30, 30, 60 respectfully) - Reduced stack sizes for loot, valuables and throwables (30, 5, 10 respectfully) - More to come...! -Shockr /edit: version 0.8 is available on nexusmods: http://www.nexusmods.com/dyinglight/mods/49/?
  6. Hi, I am very aware that many people continuously post the same questions which, can make Tech land and other individuals pretty frustrated. So, here are some questions involving coop I have not seen asked or answered, hopefully I am right. 1.) When playing with up to 3 other people (4 including yourself). How exactly does this affect the difficulty of the game? For example with each additional player, is the density increased, damage and health of zombies increased, or possibly the night time increased beyond 7 minutes? I guess the point would be, would having three other friends/players with you from start to finish, will this perhaps make the game too easy and boring? I see potential for having a coop 4 players with the ability to play through the entire game a fantastic and long overdue experience. But will it affect the challenge? 2.) Can you interact/trade with the other players of the game, even to the extent of dropping gear for gear or maybe a trading menu for money? 3.) If you turn off the "Invasion" option, does this also affect the coop as well, or are both these options separate? Also can you make your games private or invite only? 4.) Is experience shared through missions or is everything separate? 5.) Will you be able to kick as host or have a voting system for removing unwanted harassment? 6.) Will you be able to join anyone at anytime, or must you have a friend in-game? 7.) If some form of trading/drop trading is in the game, will there be some sort of lock for modded weapons to avoid people giving away powerful gear to lower level players? Not exactly a very important aspect but a question non the less.
