    Map editor on console

    So I am a big fan of dying light yet my pc does not have enough power to run dying light and I don't know how to build pcs...that angers me because I LOVE the dev tools and I am sad they are not on console. I understand that you didn't make the game on consoles so it can't be realeased but all I want is a simple map creator like the ones from farcrys 3 and 4 please make this happen and lots of console users would be really happy and it would make dying light relevant again. Thank you for your time

  3. Hi Everyone, I know everyone has questions ahead of the re-release of Dev Tools. So I am starting this topic so everyone can pile on and hopefully we can get some solid answers I'll start with my questions: Will all the Assets (Including those from 'The Following' such as the Light house) be available for us to use? If the Assets are available to us, will users without 'The Following' be able to see those assets and/or play Workshop Maps with those Assets Present? (I'm specifically speaking about Environmental Assets, not usable Assets such as: Weapons and The Buggy). Should users without 'The Following' not be able to play maps with Assets from 'The Following', will we be able to differentiate clearly, within the tools, Assets from either 'The Following' or just the base game? Legendary Levels, will we be able define those in the same way we defined the other skills in 'default_player_setup.scr'? Will we be able to activate Nightmare and Hard mode in Developer Tools maps? That is Everything I can think of for now! Feel free to post your ideas and questions! Cheers, Squirrel.
  4. Greetings, Can anybody show/tell me how I can set these up? I've been messing with the pursuit breaker module but cannot seem to set them up correctly without the editor crashing. Thanks.
  5. I seem to have a problem with the new brushes tool that can be used to add small grass onto the ground, and that is that it doesn't work on my map that I'm working on. It works on any other map I make or load but not the one that I'm currently working on, which is incredibly annoying. Can anyone help? Yes, I'm using terrain blocks and yes they are unlocked.

    Map Compile Crashes Editor.

    Whenever I try to compile the map or lock the terrain the editor hangs up and stays in not-responding mode indefinitely. This started to happen when the terrain editor was added. Any reason or guesses why this might be happening?
  7. Hi Guys, as I saw your challenge today I tried to install and run the Developer Tools but it didnt worked for me. It says:" Dying Light installed on this computer is not compatible with Developer Tools". I could imagine it doesnt work because this game is not available in Germany due to violent restrictions and stuff like that. :/ Although I would like to join this contest and design some stuff, not forget to mention to test the Developer Tools and make some cool stuff. Would be great if you can fix this. Greetz

    Developer Tools Beta

    I just got a few questions, who of you got in too? Why is there no active discussion going on about the Developer Tools Beta? Does anyone know how to add Terrain / Ground? Is it based on the terrain meshes you can find in the assets? All the Terrain I could find was the hills they use for the horizon. How'd they have Terrain in the slums area (hills around the antenna etc.) When I place one of the terrain meshes there is no collision and you just clip through and fall through the map. I understand you can place meshes from the assets like the pave walks and roads like in the example and like in the tutorial videos etc. how do you place a terrain mesh without clipping trough it, anyone found that out yet?
