  1. In preparation for the closed playtest this weekend, this thread serves to help out the Developers by letting us give direct feedback about bugs and/or exploits. If you're participating in the private playtest and find some bugs, please either; 1. Capture Footage and Upload to Youtube as unlisted if it is hard to explain 2. Describe the scenario that the bug occured in Or 3. If you know what causes the bug, then describe the issue and explain what causes it. Hope everyone has a good time with the playtest! (: *This thread is here to help out developers, if a mod could pin this for the time being, it would be appreciated.

    Developer Tools Beta

    I just got a few questions, who of you got in too? Why is there no active discussion going on about the Developer Tools Beta? Does anyone know how to add Terrain / Ground? Is it based on the terrain meshes you can find in the assets? All the Terrain I could find was the hills they use for the horizon. How'd they have Terrain in the slums area (hills around the antenna etc.) When I place one of the terrain meshes there is no collision and you just clip through and fall through the map. I understand you can place meshes from the assets like the pave walks and roads like in the example and like in the tutorial videos etc. how do you place a terrain mesh without clipping trough it, anyone found that out yet?

    Fix Your Game

    Well isn't this just great? I poured over 7 hours into this game, I found a gun, got some good melee weapons, even a grappling hook. Then I come back and I find a level one character there. How does a glitch of these size get past you? I paied sixty bucks for this game, wait, it's not even a game, just a beta. You better give us a bag of gear or something amazingly useful, because I had payed for a game, not a reskined version of dead island mixed into a milkshake filled with glitches.

    Today And Beta-Testing

    Hello, I'm writing this because I've just about had enough of the mentality game developers and publishers has today in regards to beta testing and making sure the consumer gets a functional product. I'd wish you would stop cutting corners when it comes to testing your product before you release it. A happy customer might return, but a mess like the one were seeing here is likely to cause the opposite. Give beta testing status to 50 or something people who has different hardware. Make them download a copy that has a unique watermark per person somewhere in the code to prevent illegal distribution and make them verify their identity. Have them send statistics back to you. This way you save 100's and 100's of overtime hours dealing with unsatisfied customers like me. Are you actually taught while educating to be programmers and artists that it's ok to keep the people you work for(me and other consumers) waiting with an unfinished product after the release date? Get it fixed now or pull the game back till you're done with it or the next step is a call for a refund at Steam.

  6. Dear developers, what I've noticed witch Dying Light you want to make a game without bugs at the release. I think in a game of this magnitude it wont be easy without a closed/open Beta. And the release is already almost at the door. When you need help with testing or with translation to the german language it would be a honor for me to help you with my experiance. But think me and some more experianced tester wouldnt be enough. Think the best solution would be to make a "Early Access" or a open Beta months before release, when you plan to have a nerly bugfree game at release. kind regards Danijel
