sanjyuubi got a reaction from Chickeninja in Alternative Ways For Techland To Punish Users Of Upsetting Modded Items
There were other cases of punishing players on other games, for e.g. hacking overpowered car into multiplayer will end up with explosion if you try to enter it. Currently, of all modded items only auto crossbow makes blood boils, so it should be fairly easy to detect it and do something with that like decrease range to 1m or other thing that makes it barely usable in invasions.

It's not for the people of faint hearts, only few would handle this, some hunters are troublesome enough even in 1vs4.

But i agree that much that playing such mode among friends would be a great fun.

Everything came from the wrong concept of BTZ being just indirect part of the gameplay, it was intended more to be a haunting mode than competetive PvP gameplay, that's why hunter was so weak at the beginning. It got out of control and transformed into real multiplayer mode that is hard to harness in term of balance  while keeping the original format. Maybe if BTZ was designed from the start as separate multiplayer game, some issues might not exists.

The amount of flares and medkits is not sufficient and those are just normal flares, you should give Zaid flares too if they are in equipment. You could deal with weapon mods with uniform properties, You already made that kind of thing when it comes to hunter damage. Let for e.g. all one handed weapons damage be 60+bit of damage from weapon mods, and all goons have 600HP, Uniform properties would flat every weapon properties (or selected ones), no matter if it is gold or not into same kind as other ones, uniform reload time could deal with auto crossbow, you could also implement something like highpass and lowpass properties, so weapon properties would be limited if they exceed allowed values.

After flare nerf more people are using gold flares, uniforming burning time for all flares during invasion would be good idea, make all flares burn like zaid's flares.

As for flare nerf in 1vs1, just scale the flare cost (like the damage in 3,4vs1) in a way that throwing flare will take 99% of the indicator, throwing a flare in other modes will cause instant cooldown as flare cost will be greater.

I don't think that team will do any more than tweaking mere details, you have propably more work with other new products.

Assuming that this game life right now is artificially supported by duped items means, that you shouldn't playing it anymore as it doesn't exists in your world. You're creating a paradox, you're playing a game of dupers and yet you wan't to get rid of them, which means if you exile them away, you would have nobody to play with (except 11 years old kids who doesn't know much about that - yep, there are kids playing this game), yet you wan't to play and have dupers away, a perfect term for visciuos circle.

You should also take into consideration, that i'm playing 95% of time as NH, humans on normal mode with duped items are annoying (noobs or desperado), i'll give you that much, humans on hard without duped items are boringly easy and with the flare nerf my feelings are in discord when i blow humans flare and he can't do anything (no challenge at all). I was adapted to that challenge.

TIP of DAY: Make sure that your opponnent is 12 or below, high propability of him being not duped player

Yep, that's the way it's done, but according to devs, dodging in air is impossible.

It's not just flare, it's the whole flare, it's where the line was crossed.

WOW! You're rampaging again. That person just stated that there is problem because his GFX card broke, so he can't obviously play tournament, but you had to start insults like you did earlier. Looks like you have a problem with yourself you can't solve with your money.

It's spliced clips of lucky or epic kills rather than a gameplay. I would preffer to see whole battle than selected scenes from 100 gameplays.

The problem here lies in cycling system, even if one would perform good as a hunter, he  drag down the whole team as survivor and imagine such situation where only two people remains and one of them can't play as human well, the outcome is clear.

Anyway, i'm waiting for the final touches of you proposal, i got interestet one person to participate right now.

What are the rules and how it would work?

With the mine seeders like Hank and his friends i doubt that any hunter will win that prize.

Somebody who wrote "Sign me up aswell never played as zombie should be a blast" doesn't have a clue what he is talking about

If this means that i would have to play as human then thats not for me. I'm really bad at

Also, for game like 1vs4 it would be hard to arrange if this is international contest, different timezones might made this hard to gather all people when they have free time.

They had opportunity to change things with The Following, but they didn't. Somehow they decided, that airdrops will add points to legendary level experience while it was clear as a day, that duped items will kill the sole purpose of even gathering experience at the very beginning. What were they thinking? Did they care?

It's not hard to think about some choices, for e.g: Normal: Health recovers 10% every second, Hard: as it is now.

sanjyuubi got a reaction from Chickeninja in Idea For New Gameplay Recording System.
We all know that we can record our gameplay through shadowplay, VCE or other 3rd party tools and stream the game through steam.

It's cool that we have such an option, but it have several downsides and limits.

    - you need to engage CPU or GPU, it makes impact on performance on some low end hardware
    - you need to have proper bandwith to stream good quality gameplay, the more quality you need, the more bandwith you need
    - streaming could produce a lags, so you have to lower quality

Back in the days, where low speed internet was something common, there was something called as "spectate" option, the game was recreated realtime on the speactator computer according to incoming data and it was working quite well. The downside of such system is that quality of the graphics still depends on the spectator hardware.

Even if i had to lower graphics on my computer i would still glad to use "spectate" option as some users have simply not enough bandwith or low end computer where every frame counts.
Now i talk about the best part, recording.

Aside of the downside i mentioned earlier, recording the gameplay as simply data brings more possibilities. Not only you can keep your gameplays in small files, if properly incorporated, you are allowed to manipulate replaying process, for e.g. you can switch to any player point of view you were playing with, you can switch to 3rd person or even use free raom camera mode where you are flying around looking what was going on on the battlefield. Not only it allows people to use it more creatively while making  movie compilations (different perspectives included in one screen, even survivor and hunter) it allows to cloud away any misunderstandings about cheating or situations where you simply lost track of what is going on and allow you to analyze your mistakes.

Right now if there is a gap in skills, you are often called a cheater, ending up being recorded and reported, with new recording system, the player could view his game from my point of view clearing any misunderstandings (unless he is really brainless jerk).

Spectating and data recording have small requirements for processing power and bandwith. You just need good computer if you want good graphics.

What do you think about such system and how would you use it?

I think you either have problems with reading or counting or both! It's such a drag to explain to you after Pete said that max health doesn't matter. Night Hunter damage is counted in %, so GP takes always 20% of your max HP.

    Watch the magic - 5 x 55 = 275   WOW, the numbers don't lie.

Sorry, but the only survivors that allowing me to GP them to death are completly noobs. I'll be drained of stamina before i kill somebody with GP and there is always small time gap before GP will charge so you can even hit NH with axe same time as NH hits ground leaving him with 30 HP left.

Playing against good team of 2 people is already challenging and 4 of them makes you work really hard to earn a single kill since you'll be DFA'ed very soon if you focus on one survivor.

I can confirm that i encountered second player as Reverso, after i pounced him  too fast for him to react, he said "Hacks?" and started to use super speed, teleporting and instant nest kill (two at the same time). He is playing very bad, i could forgive bad players some kind of cheats, but instant nest kill (or all at the same time) and teleporting is out of the league.

Yeah, he is right! His brilliant advicies are millions times better:

    1) Grind the mutations, and in the process learn to appreciate and also learn every skill available to you.
    2) Just keep playing, get better

Here is a video of a guy who dodged tackle after GP in air, also GP didn't hit him twice even though he stands right before me, but i started recording after he did few tackle dodges so i can't show that.

Not the losing side, but falling behind side. If you manage to keep up with the ratio you won't get any buffs, for e.g. you are playing against humans exploiting that bug and you keep killing almost 2 of them per nest, in the last nest when you have to kill 2 humans, you are not rewarded with buffs, because the difference between losing/winning is too small (the odds are equal here). In the end, you lose because they managed to one shot nest before you killed the last one (if OHK nests wouldn't happen, then you could propably win in such situation with at least 2 nests untouched)
