  1. I appreciate the modesty, most people here aren't capable of that. I certainly don't condone duping, I did it after a couple of months of playing long after vanilla existed, but you're not wrong either, The solution I've proposed would keep that in check. However, there's more to it than just that, and this is one of the only arguments I see Hunters with in this nonsensical patch war. We still have teleporting/flying bombers, latency issues (which may not see a fix), and a handicap system that makes most of the game a wild card.
  2. Okay, I'll bite. From the perspective of a human player consistently playing against the best hunters 1v1 on Xbox, the one flare is ridiculous for 1v1 scenarios. The only time I throw them is if my light is disabled, or I'm fighting a snaking hunter, which counters his fast tackles wonderfully. Other than that, I'm all light. With that being said, I'm being punished for all the cucks that rapid fire LT, and can't have a decent fight with most of my friends anymore. I don't have as much of an issue with quick join hunters, because most of them are still bad, but not being able to play with the people I choose to for my own thrill pretty much turns me away from the game. I think a better solution would be to bring back before the most recent patch just for 1v1, or maybe even have a faster cool down, so they still can't be thrown rapidly from duped inventories; which, by the way, have absolutely no impact for PvP. In vanilla, it was broken, but now literally everything has a cool down, so how many of something a human has is pretty much irrelevant. Just give a couple hundred flares, and I guarantee that all of you would chupacabra about the same thing.

Interesting, that makes things other than UV spit useful when you spit smash. I'll have to do some watching and reading before my ELO score takes a hit, haha

I kind of had a feeling that it was, since the transition seems pretty fluid when you execute it. Thanks! It's nice to see the meta evolving in this game, it always keeps me on edge when I face new hunters overtime.

So, I've just now come back to Dying Light after 2 months, and I'm just going to ask here since I can't find answers from credible people. Is the running boost that the night hunter gets after tendrilling to the ground an intended mechanic, or is it an exploit that they're using to overwhelm the humans? As a human player, I already have an answer to this play style, I'm just not sure if it's an actual change in the meta, or if it's not supposed to be that way.

That makes sense as well, I can get behind that. I wanted to delete my reply to this, because I put further thought into it and now understand the frustration, but I couldn't figure out how. That's a good point also, fireball cancels and wave dashes aren't eliminating an intended mechanic implemented to balance movement, while you're really not supposed to swing a heavy hammer rapidly. TL already has a solution to this, so there's not much anyone can do at this point.

Perhaps I view this differently than most. They're already looking into it, and they've stated that this will no longer be the most ideal way to kill the nests. As you said, it's not possible for Techland to please the casual players and the very skilled players at the same time. Another method that actually is "fair" will be figured out when this goes away.

    Newest Survivor Glitch

I truly dont believe this should be considered a glitch. All of the top survivors, along with myself, agree that this is definitely NOT one of the biggest issues about BtZ. We call this technique "repair cancelling". Getting rid of that would be like if Super Smash Bros got rid of wave dashing, which is ESSENTIAL to many players' strategy. It would be the same if Mortal Kombat patched fireball cancelling. TL has already confirmed that two handed weapon damage to the nests was reduced in the next update, so patching this as well would be way overkill. A better solution altogether would be to reduce the respawn time for the night hunter, and maybe even start him closer to the nest when he spawns in. Granted, if they do patch it, the tribal knife is another great tool to kill nests, but there are far worse issues than this. All of the best hunters would definitely not fret about this, and would still win. I know that the hunter desperately needed buffs, and they're getting that on February 9th, but it's literally gotten to the point where someone's crying nerf about pretty much anything that's possible to deal with, but just can't handle.
