Dying Light Pvp Needs A Serious Fix.

@bjoernsen ok, you keep quoting, first, Joke, second, nothing but an expression, third, an assumption, fourth, again just an assumption, if these offend you, then at least some of them must be true. Plus, Politeness has it's end as well, it's not like you would be polite to someone who is punching you in the face (exaggeration; maybe i should be marking my phrases with their intended purpose from now on; anybody remembering Johnny 5?!^^). You seem to do so, that is sad, you should get that checked out (Concern for you). @Nova, Congratulations, you read my post (Amazement), but i would guess you used the wrong word, "psychically", (Assumption). I said physically, Physics teaches us that when a new force affects an object that may be greater than the force before (Teaching, think of 2 cars crashing head to head together both running with 50 mph / kmh they simply stop; now imagine both cars where one is 40 mph / kmh and the other is 60 mph / kmh the one with 60 shoves the one with 40 still away or even when both are smushed together the move in the direction the 60 mph/kmh car was going), When I GP and you move towards me in any way, your speed cannot be greater than the GP Shockwave (Admittance; which has Speed of Sound or half of it, I'm not that good with physics to have exact numbers), which in turn means that it doesn't matter what you do or how your sword moves since all force behind it and its subsequent hit is overwhelmed and so not causing enough damage to kill. All of this means that it is an animation issue or lag issue or some other error that should be prevented. And what Racey said, the humans aren't that much slower than the NH, enough times i decided to retreat, only to be drained even after being 10 meters away and not getting away because i drop to the ground and try to simply run but the humans closing in in less than 5 seconds and naturally I die (Agreement with another user).

@bjoernsen80 So you have that so called Respect for everybody, no wonder youre such a wimp, ME?! I am simply polite, and one has nothing to do with the other. @Racey Yeah thats exactly what I thought, skulking, stalking and then springing out without warning...Alas it wasn't...but you know, a guy can dream and Techland has stated that they want to work with the community, changing the stuff i put forth doesnt require a complete rewrite of the game mechanics, only additions and changes, it would be enough to make the game more immersive and still keep that feeling and even renew it. Much like I am hoping that after Dead Space 1 was horror (with the thing I hate in every game, a silent character and telepathic communication thereof) and Dead Space 2 and 3 each got more action-oriented than the last, I hope it may return to some of it's roots, I am hoping that DL may get the BtZ mode more in the scary column than in the action and fast-paced column. It's hope and maybe that wont be realized with DL but maybe with DL2 (which I hope will exist since there are a LOT of questions unanswered here^^) I still love this game, I just think about stuff that would make it even better than it is and if it actually does happen to change, I am even moreso psyched about the game even after it has a bit of time behind it.

Respect???? Are you chupacabra KIDDING ME???? Respect is EARNED NOT OWED! (Man verdient sich Respekt, es wird nicht geschuldet ohne Verdienst!) and YOU never earned as much as a smile from me, let alone any respect. And I am flattered you think me this young, no I'm 30 and as jcks said, level is no indication for skill not for Survivor not for NH. I want a balanced and immersed gaming experience, for example I am also playing Fallout 4 and I am using over 200 mods, from which most add to the Realism of the world, like being able to craft the weapons given enough skill/the right perks, I mean SPOILER! The Kid can build you all weapons from normal Ballistic ones to Energy Weapons so why the hell shouldn't you be able to at level 100+ (2 characters also no indication of skill, just time) SPOILER END! Now making the NH and the S more diverse in their attacks, like Claw attacks from the NH do more damage because that would balance with the fact that the S has Guns against which we, the NHs, can't do nothin' since we don't have ANY damaging distance attacks what so ever, plus it would be immersive since no clothes of Crane's are armored in any way (there you have the armor mechanic i spoke of in an earlier post) If I pounce a S I am basically tumbling into him and throwing him to the ground and yet as it seems all a S has to do is turn around even though the animation looks different, it just strikes me that MANY things have been increased in "time needed until next attack" like the missed GP or the time the NH needs to start regenerating or until the "Energy" for Pouncing has regenerated or even starts to regenerate. For me it takes away from the fun and adds twice as much to frustration. I am not asking to simply make the NH stronger, I am asking for diversity in Attacks and possible Defence Strategies, If all it takes is a Flare to unbeatably shield yourself from a NH, so you need something for that as well and I am not talking about the UV Block (which gets disabled the moment you pounce giving the S another Edge over the NH without reason, because that would go into the Hunter category, Noticing the UV light no UV spit and then using UV Block and Pounce an S would need to think of a strategy to counter that but there is no need since basically everything the NH can do can be AVOIDED, not defended, avoided rendering any attack useless besides the allround sucky GP. Had a match last night in which I GPedwhich hit and killed the S BUT the S scored a hit on me AT THE SAME TIME, killing me, HOW is that even physically possible, I ask you?! I have been gaming for 26 years, I got my first game boy when i was 4 from my mother and have had several systems over the years and played all kinds of games, I've seen everything and I've done everything in most of those games. I bet you're someone that doesnt play Battlefield because you can actually lose when you suck, which you do and you have no friends to team up with, ME, I have no problem with loosing as long as it isn't a game mechanic that makes me loose because there were too many kiddies (yes this is an insult in context, meaning immature individuals who cannot fathom the possibility that loosing is a part of life and should be taken as a reason to get better) instead they complain that it is too hard to beat, I remember those days when you had to get someone do it for you because you were just not good enough. I have the PS3 Games "The Last of Us" and "Metal Gear Solid 4" Currently on ice since I am on specific missions on the highest difficulty and just cant get it done, which I am okay with, I will try at some point and i might get it done then or not I am ok with that. You on the other hand have propbably never seen a game where you had to actually use a healing item instead of auto heal á la Call of Duty since Modern Warfare 1. And since you turned it into a personal debate instead of giving constructive criticism of my suggestions (or at least i haven't seen anything besides "Get gud"-chupacabra from you) there you have it.

Off Topic: I'm used that the quote is above the answer, was a bit confusing but now i got it. Back on topic: I have played enough matches in every combo (1v1, 2v1, 3v1 and 4v1) i have had a maxed out (not yet mutated) NH and i couldn't beat 2 players, not because i lack skill but simply because of the problems stated earlier in this thread. I view even multiplayer on a single player game always with a certain immersion, when beginning playing DL and during the story it becomes apparent that people clearly FEAR the Volatiles which wouldn't need be if they go out in teamworking groups, which after 2 MONTHS!!!!!!!! they would have had down don't you think?! Playing the BtZ mode makes it clear that 2 is enough without much hassle, teamwork or even skill, since using your UV light over and over and kicking the thing in the face seems to be enough. In Light of what the games universe stands for, the Zombies aren't that scary, so why do people Fear them to a point of pissing-in-their-pants? Hm? If all they need to do is have a group of 3 guy and being unbeatable simply by the numbers? how come that a city (plus tourists because of the games) of several thousand has been reduced to maybe 300 (not the movie^^) IN 2 MONTHS!! Don't you think the first thing they would have done, would have had to be to go out in groups. and yet the people are terrified of even going outside, even during the day. Now let's take a look at the NH, let's say there is only one, since during the game there is no mention of it, probably because there are no survivors to tell the tale, no one knows about it. Wouldn't you be full of fear of a creature that can spit and take out your UV light, your best defence against it considering that when shining UV upon it it can't pounce you anymore, for a while at least. This beast should be the most fearful thing in the entire game but it isn't, it is an inconvenience not a reason for fear and there is no reason to since you have everything against it once you've played about an hour into the game (as long as you are keeping to the story quests mind you). This shouldn't be! A video has nothing to show me, what i don't already know, there is not one reason why the NH shouldn't be stronger than a human. @hertz when are you playing next, i'd like to see what glitches he is talking about...(probably just a legendary maxed out char but whatev) @Nova I just took you under my wing and so it my calling to elaborate to you a social gesture that is very common with modern era homo sapiens. Obviously even that went over your head. It is a sad thing for you, i know, but don't let your head down buddy, I'm sure even in your mentally-retarded state your parents love you very much. Maybe you should talk to them about this and ask them to socialize with you, you know, that is veeeeery important for a growing 11 year-old.

@Psycho As it looks like, you have no friends outside of the internet because the comment i directed at Hertz is like "look at that, this idiot thinks he is hot stuff". Like a little nudge between acquaintances. But you wouldn't know as it looks like.

Dying Light Pvp Needs A Serious Fix.

@Psycho (fitting, don't you think Hertz^^) again you have nothing to complain so you nitpick. Learning your first (native, if you will) language is intuitive because you're around all day long, learning it in school is a VERY different matter and is done entirely seperate from your native language. Me, I am german and hated english until i was 17 and learned it by writing it, literally with a dictionary beside the keyboard. Now, I am basically replacing my entire movie library with english versions of movies since i am confident in it, but it doesn't mean that I stop learning english. @bjoernsen80 Most Obvious, you did NOT read what I typed in it's entirety, sorry kiddo, no TL;DR here. I have just, maybe this term is more known to you, "prestiged" the first time. If you're still confused, I have willingly surrendered ALL skillpoints for Mutation Level 1 and as a reward will have in time access to a new skill, namely the Sense Suppressing Spit. I like challenges, so I have no problem having a hard time, but the BtZ mode is basically impossible with 2+ players against yourself, in a truly balanced game, it is always possible to win, whether it be 1v1 or 4v1, there HAS to be a possiblity for a single player be victorious against 4 enemy players and that possibility should NOT have the condition of being a fully mutated and fully maxed NH, it should exist always without sacrificing from the Immersion of a game. Otherwise there would be NO reason to play against 4 if your loss is guaranteed.

Dying Light Pvp Needs A Serious Fix.

@Psychoraven, Not everyone is a native english speaker, some of us actually have to learn the language, also as your post tells us, you knew exactly what the content of his post was and couldn't find anything else to complain about. @ZombieVirus Well there is truth to your statement but the thing is that the mechanics make the game into a 1v1 up to a 4v1 battle and once there are two survivors the NH gets nerfed up to a point that winning is only possible if the two survivors basically work AGAINST each other instead of helping each other. I had this several times and i just "mutated" my first time which makes me good enough for that at least and I may be direct but according to MY head-canon the NH isnt an animal with a sense for the traditional Hunt as conducted hundreds of years ago by humans. It is a mindless husk that simply is "parasitically" urged to spread the virus. AGAIN THAT IS MY HEAD-CANON!!! If a Survivor is already at the nest and manages to kill you (1v1) you can kiss that nest goodbye since the time it takes for the NH to respawn plus to get back there is set so high that this is the most likely outcome. Once there are more than one survivor the "three hit limit" on the NH is an entirely OP disadvantage for the NH. since it is not three hits each but rather 3!!!!! The UV light is capable of blasting away your entire energy before you even come close to your victim. Plus as i already said in an earlier post that a missed GP because of the survivors Dodge is a death sentence because of the three hit limit. However it takes me as a NH more than 3 almost Point Blank GPs to kill a survivor PLUS during my animation of my GP the effect hasnt started yet making it possible for a survivor to hit me Just before i hit the ground and killing me and cancelling my GP, the reach is not there i mostly get hit when a survivor is at least 2 meters away and that can't be possible since even with a machete a human that doesn't have abnormally long arms has maybe a reach of exactly that but it is basically the tip touching the object without penetration and if we say its maybe an inch of penetration there isn't any damage that should be able to kill. Bottom line, it is far too easy for a group of survivors to battle against a lone NH if we look at the Lore, in the Vanilla Game at the start, basically ALL the survivors you meet, say "If you see a Volatile, RUN! THere is absolutely nothing you can do against them." A Night Hunter is even more dangerous but truely <-(case of lack of knowledge of the language here) there is absolutely no need to fear a NH if all it takes is 3 hits. By increasing the durability/health of the NH or decreasing the damage output of the survivors there would be an actual challenge for them and it would be an actual incentive for coop play against a NH.

    1. The thing is that spamming GP is the only way if we have more attack options you wouldn't since its not perfect. I tried it out, I like playing DL with a controller more than with keyboard and with KB its WAAAAAY easier, but Claw attack isn't doing much damage AND has no consequence and i mean something like attack cancel for Survivor and stagger, i mean have you ever been punched?! You don't just brush off kinetic energy and even someone like Kyle Crane isn't an exception to that. Canceling a GP is possible we all know that but the Dodge move of the Survivors is too much distance, almost unbeatable if a Survivor knows about its mechanics. 2. Well for that the Spit isn't really usable since the splash range isnt so high as to guarantee you enough free room to safely take out a Survivor and still get away safely, because you would need at least 50 feet to do that and even then you have an assful of problems since a Survivor will glue himself to your chupacabra and most likely kill you right after with a charged hit. 3. Well I haven't pounced someone during a grapple yet so i don't know if that is actually possible, but again the UV is working too far for that to work with someone who knows what to do in this situation. 4. UV Block is canceled immediately when you pounce so you can be blocked by the Survivor (THAT is Balance I can actually get behind^^) and UV Heal (I haven't gotten it yet) you need to skill for which you can only do when you know what you're doing and the way it is its very hard and takes very long since you're either too unskilled to effectively go against multiple Survivors OR you have to fight against one Survivor over and over and over again. 5. Well you could counter that by making the spit something else and the Survivor Sense just Area instead of exact location. 6. Well it is lame for someone who just starts to play Hunter and hasn't much experience using the Skills, because you don't know the mechanics of a move unless you have taken the skill and used it many times to actually make out the limits of it, for example since i can't win so easily against more than one survivor i almost never use UV Block since I don't see the benefit of it (YET). That may change if I can see the benefits down the line. All your assumptions and arguments are based on the fact that the Hunter knows about the skills inside and outside and how are you going to get this knowledge if you can't get to them?! Exactly what Racy said, Humans plan just one thing, "I gotta take the ULTIMATE WEAPON!!!! my UV Light and Flares"

Dying Light Pvp Needs A Serious Fix.

    1. Well if we had more viable fighting options that shouldnt be a problem, right now its spamming since there is nothing else 2. exactly creates the illusion that basically if brecken and the others simply went out in teams, should have been enough 3. No but right now we HAVE to have tactics and an insane amount of control of the hunter (experience playing it for real) which is mostly just not acquirable since its too frustrating. (IMO) 4. when the UV drains your energy, you cant jump as well, you cant tendril locomotive anymore, which basically means that once that happened youre mostly fucked. 5. Well if the Hunter is a Hunter then that should be expected, I mean Velociraptors hunted in Packs, why not this one too. and the Survivors sense is getting spammed i tell you and on the minimap you get the hunters EXACT location, not just "Hmmm, maybe from that direction, since i heard it howl" but rather, "There!", and easy punces?! not when there is a team of 4 out there, which is why i said there has to be a lower player limit for this to be applicable. 6. Well always thinking if you were in that situation, if youre in danger of getting bitten, you wear something thick to NOT get bitten^^ if youre expecting to have to get away quick, you wear light clothes and maybe something that protects the arms and legs seperately, like bracers and greaves^^ 7.Well combine that with what we see in every horror flick, monster comes out and drags prey, why not us?! Dead Island had the possiblity with a controller where you were able to control which direction you hit, left-right, right-left, up-down, down-up and everything in between, something like that would be nice to have as the hunter, maybe even some kicks or something else, if you take away pounce you would have to take away the move from above by humans.

Dying Light Pvp Needs A Serious Fix.

@perkele I play on Nightmare in SP, as it seems basically everyone plays chupacabra' Easy where that doesnt matter. I love the Nightmare mode since more often than not i am shitting my pants at night (5 Volatiles not even 20 meters around me^^). 1. How can it be supposed to be a sure death sentence just because you didn't hit? When you hit you're faster recovered, but that is chupacabra, how about simply make GP recovery faster like humans OR give humans a real knockdown and 2 seconds to get up so its the same for humans as it is for NH 2. UV range shouldn't determine if you're winning or not, win or loss should be determined by teamwork and i'm not talking about the teamwork where 1 is stalking the Hunter with his Mile-UV-Light-range and the other/s is/are destroying the Nest, it should be that a Hunter has more than a chance to beat humans, since EVERYONE fears them, without exception. Just Kyle Crane seems to be impervious to anything this so called Apocalypse throws at him while basically everyone around him dies. 3. What Balance? Where is the Balance in this, if the time and the way the spits work is this, how are they useful in any way if a Human can simply grapple out of the way until it stops working which takes just a couple seconds? Tactics as a mindless husk of a human body? Thats chupacabra. Tactics AGAINST a mindless husk of a human body? That's brilliant and necessary. 4. I didn't say drain, but it lowers them by an amount. Otherwise when having been lit up for some time and being "vulnerable" let's say, the screen wouldn't turn red. 5. Yes exactly BUT it is the SECOND one in the match that can ONLY appear when having a 4v1 match. 6. Which is why the NH should be a feared creature so the equipment and armor are actually making sense, since my second playthrough I don't have Invasions enabled anymore because it was lame with a maxed out character (preFollowing) and it still seems to be the same, when playing as NH. 7. Which is chupacabra since claw and tackle is the only way of direct attack we got, we have no bite, no "grapple" (like when a dog bites down and doesn't let go). Even if a human wouldn't have a weapon he would have more attack options than an NH (not counting spit since its not direct attack).

Dying Light Pvp Needs A Serious Fix.

I preOrdered Dying Light and I loved it from second one. In the Lore of the game people FEAR the night because it's basically a death sentence, Yes I play on highest difficulty since I have maxed out except for the Legendary Levels. Even when I play 1v1 with a Night Hunter I simply get out everything I can, I play on PC with a Controller and mostly I win because of exactly the things that are the most frustrating: 1. Missing a GP is death safe to say 2. The range of the UV is too high and yes it is meant to keep them at bay (a few feet/ a few meters) but not to give you half a kilometer/mile safe zone 3. Cooldowns of any Spits are so high that Tactics need to be made BUT the NH isn't an animal, it is a human body physically mutated due to heavy infection of a virus, it doesn't fear pain and it doesn't "Hunt", it simply kills, eats and spreads the virus. So why the hell do we need Tactics. 4. UV burning through your skin and lowering your HP and dying in three hits, the NH is supposed to be Fear-incarnate not a wolf you hear howling in the night and think "Damn. One of those, ok let me get my UV and my good shoes out and Rock this thing" increase HP and agility for 1v1 and an increasing buff for every player on humans side more. 5. when 4v1 it would be awesome to have a "hidden" Hunter that doesnt appear on the minimap even with survivor sense, when that one kills he becomes the "appearing" one (maybe even just a chance for that happening, JUST 4V1!!!) 6. For the humans it might be a really cool thing to add a new mechanic into the game: Armor and Utilites! on clothes to help prepare for specific enemies, when changing the costume we already have the "spots" that describe the things that are on the clothes, I mean it's somehow strange that basically no one in a zombie apocalypse comes to the conclusion "Huh, maybe i should be wearing a heavy leather jacket, pants and gloves, maybe even something to cover my face, instead of thin skin-tight pants and T-Shirts, and since we already craft buggy parts without much of the proper tools, it wouldn't that much of a stretch. (7. I don't know what we can actually see of the movements of the other players, some times I die even though the guy i am clawing right now isn't moving. may be a problem with my connection or I am right^^)

Anyone else having the bug where when having a savegame set to hard difficulty and joining someone with normal diff. and somebody joins after that and leaves that you get thrown out with the message that the diff.s don't match? I have that with a friend of mine and it's driving me nuts.
