RunnerSeth got a reaction from whitebodies in (Spoilers) Regarding Jade
Dude, it broke my heart when I saw that you had to break her neck because she turned.... I hate it when main characters like this just fall. I wish Techland would have gave you a choice whether to inject yourself with it or inject it into Jade. I think it would spice things up a bit.

Hey guys, I'm back with the topic "adding antizin" in airdrops or dying light in general. I have posted a topic like this in the past, but I am going to keep pushing for it. I would think it would be a cool addition to the game if we had an infection meter and had to get antizin in airdrops or laying around in very hard locked chests we have to go through. Now, I'm thinking is when you get bit by a zombie, literally get bit, you can have a certain number of antizin vials you can go through at a time and each vial lasts up to 4-5 days (IN-GAME).

Dying Light needs more quests, sort of like ENDLESS quests. Just to keep the gamers interested. Sorry to hear if you dont have a great pc to run the game, thats your problem. On console, either XBONE or PS4 it runs fine. I haven't noticed any bugs in the dlc, including the bozak horde.

Im telling you, developers of Techland, you guys need to add an infection meter and antizin so players have a bit more survival experience!

Somebody some time ago mentioned they'd like to see something like this in the end-game stage. The stage where the player is prompted to begin a NG+ because they completed the main-quest (obviously) and all of the sidemissions. As I see it, I think it fits perfectly within both aspects, the narrative and for general replayability.

As the events in the story unfold, the GRE are placed in a rather tough position. There is proof that they were looking to exploit the virus for profit lurking in every corner of the world and the internet, I'd imagine. As this is not a type of scandal to be swept under the rug and forgotten. 'Not in the society we live in today, (assuming Dying Light depicts itself realistically).

Since the world knows that there are still survivors in the Quarantine - the eyes of the world shift from the Quarantine, toward the GRE - which would prompt them to reinitialize the airdrops in an effort to convince those same eyes that they're working to to assist the people of Harran and that they weren't attempting to profit off of their misery the entire time. After all, they have an image to maintain, 'labeling themselves the Global Relief Effort. With the file published, it is stupidly easy to connect the dots when you consider how well the GRE has handled the outbreak from the 3 days it took to build the quarantine walls to how quickly the ministry insisted on the hammer-down protocol.

Not to mention that the research is still in the Quarantine. And since they know Kyle is still alive, still infected and probably has it's whereabouts - they're at a standstill. The only way possible way to even try to pull themselves out of the shitstorm they created is to continue dropping crates and hope for the best. My guess is that the GRE has been keeping their intentions under wraps, within an inner-circle behind closed doors. So those more humble and with good-intentions within the organization or not would insure that antizin flies over those walls along with the flares and medkits. So as for the narrative, I think it can work.

    ------

TL:DR: Yeah, antizin drops is a good idea, but only at the end of the game, so that it doesn't obstruct the narrative. Suffering from seizures during combat or going for a jump from building to building would make for a big challenge and it would spice things up quite a bit. It would make lvl 25's go for airdrops and there could even be an element of servitude sorta' like Factions in The Last of Us. Where you collect antizin not only for yourself but for the Tower. When people in the tower die from lack of antizin, they'll only respawn in your NG+. I mean, the protag barely interacts with even some of the main characters, let alone the minor characters. This could fix that. 'Maybe Lena could help point to some interiors or exteriors where the player could raid to find antizin if they miss out on a drop.

Would be pretty erie to see the tower completely empty besides for the quartermasters and shopkeepers lol.

I like the idea of the Antizen in the air drops.I think it would motivate players that are maxed out to get the drops.

Also maybe a "Super" gun or something that you have to use or lose and can't store.

    RPG comes to mind.

Skins for BtZ would be a neat addition. Even if they didn't add skins like Slenderman they could add a few different skins based on your Night Hunters level/title.

Mire, I'm not really understanding why you are unhappy with the fact of killing a zombie by cutting its head off or smashing the skull in one blow. That is traditionally the way you stop a zombie, after all - kill the brain and it's all over. I really disliked the need to hit zombies several times in the head with ZombieU and to some extent, Walking Dead: Survival Instinct - both of those games made it all feel less 'realistic.'

yep i think so too....DL is extrem great, and you know what....dead island 2 should be realesed this month, but now they realised that dying light is the best and so dead island 2 will be released at cristmas 2015, because deep silver think that no one will play dying light no more in 6 month, but i tell you i will play dying light the next 4 years till dying light 2 arrives....

dead island 2 will be destroyed because it looks lame and there is no story and parcour.....and so dying light will be still the best zombie game for the next years, because dead island 2 is the only other zombie game.......and they got no chance...

deep silver regret now that they stop working together with techland.....

i love DL and when they fix the one hit kills, the game is perfect for me and i play it for YEARS !!

To be fair we have no idea what the Bozak Horde will contain. We have only a few seconds of teaser gameplay at the moment.

From what I can see from the Trailer. The Bozak Horde will contain content that changes the main game. Checkpoint Races in Old Town, and maybe more.

Thanks Runner. What I would like to see is something like a numbers challenge. Techland has shown that they can track total numbers so it would be easy.

Something like Head Stomps. The community needs to get so many head stomp in a timeframe and if they do they will bump up the drop rate for a gold weapon for a week. Roof kills, kick so many zombies off the roofs to their death and Tech will add a "special" weapon to the drop list for containers. Something like this that will give the entire community a reason to out and just mindlessly slaughter zombies with a common purpose of a little chance for a prize.

RunnerSeth reacted to Prodigerl in Gameplay: Side Missions - Night Time Q's.
Excessive work schedule & real life stuff have kept me from playing for awhile other than getting far enough in the main story to  the air drop mission for Jade that brings on the first night time event.
I'm wondering 2 things - since I've been using the little bits of free time I have available some days to do the few side missions I could get from Tower people, build skill levels up, scavenge herbs, etc., get Easter Egg weapons, do side missions stuff, secure safe zones, etc.
    1)  Are there any more side missions around the map that I can do before I have to start the Air Drop night mission?  I went around the map & only get pop ups on my map of survivors needing rescue from zombies attacking them - no actual missions.
I've stopped the fake antazin ring, did Gazi's Mother's Day... gunslinger, I can't find a gun in the few police vehicles I found yet.
I'm looking for side missions before I kick off the nite time.

    2) After the 1st nite mission when the Nitemares chase you - how does the night cycle work?  Is it timed by main missions in the game?  Or an internal clock that goes on in the game no matter how many side missions or random things you find to do?

    I'm loving this game!
    Thanks for any info

RunnerSeth reacted to MNP in Members Vote - [Should Techland Add Antizin In Airdrops?]
YES, I loved the "medicin" system from Far Cry 2, and have, since before release, been thinking that it would be one of the best things that could have been featured in Dying Light.
BUT I HATE the fact that you can run for weeks (ingame time) without haveing to take any antizin, no matter when in the game it is, but as soon as you do a main mission, you get hit in the face, stomach and up your b*tthole with fullblown zombievirus.
you are, after all, infected, and the hole story focuses on getting antizin.
Of course Techland can't just change it like that, after all, the story allso goes, that you have been ordered to destroy the antizin from airdrops.

Airdrops return - As the main way to get antizin, and I loved the constant "chance to get stuff, but have to be fast" thing, and the only reason I have been playing from the start again and again, was JUST so I could run after airdrops again.
Countdown - I think the "infection meter" should be a countdown on your watch, giveing a small, but long beeeb each time it passes a "stage"(12 ingame hours).
Random seizures - The longer you go without antizin, the higher the chance that you will get a random seizure.

HOW I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MOST OF THE SYSTEM WORK
You have a chance to get an antizin box in each airdrop. but only 1 pr day. (there is a higher chance to find antizin in airdrops at night)
You have to deliver the box to a quartermaster to gain a vial yourself.
    Each vial have 3 charges/shots)
You can have a maximum of 3 vials on you (9 shots)
Each 12 hours, you either have to take a dose, or have a change to get random seizures, draining your stamina and hindering your fighting. (the first 12 hours is safe, then the chance to get seizures increases)(it will get higher the more "stages" pass)
Each time you die, the infection clock advances 2 hours (6 hours in hard mode)
If you go 3 days without antizin, you lose all your stamina and can't run and jump as high and fast as when healthy, use graplinghook, use powerattacks, dropkick, vault over enemies and you will sway a lot when aiming. you can return to a quartermaster who will give you a small antizin shot, it will turn it back 12 hours (to the 2days 12hours marker) but you won't get a vail with you. (you can still climb, since it is needed to get to the quartermasters)
If you sleep, the infection clock still runs, makeing it a less effective farming method.
The clock don't run, when playing invasions.
When retriveing an airdrop in co-op, each player have to pick up the antizin box to turn it in.

Hey guys, Seth here and I was wondering/brainstorming about a new idea that I and many others would like to see in Dying Light. Now, this topic is basically voting, and I would like to see FULL PARTICIPATION, but if you don't want to, that's ok too.   PLEASE ANSWER WITH DETAIL
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Adding Antizin to Airdrops:

Q: Would you want Antizin to be added to airdrops as well as an infection meter? WHY?

Q: What are your thoughts of Antizin being a good thing to add?

Q: Do you think Antizin would make the game more realistic? Explain.
