this is a good reason why i rarely play pc games anymore. i say this. if you wanna cheat. then do it. just do it in either single player or co-op.

I agree with Bray, some development tools and steam workshop integration would be absolutely on point.

    Morning all

Had a gaming date with one of my Bros last night, a good 5-6 hours of a fresh save on the harder difficulty setting. If anyone is currently playing hard on your old / max level character then i'd really encourage you to start again and ditch your max level.

I'm not good at formulating sentences so here are some bullet points! - POW

Quarantine zones are tough as nails. Volatiles are nearly unkillable and multiple virals are very dangerous. Hell even the occasional zombie was taking 10-20 head-smacks to kill.  Without the grapple and free running skills the night time slows down to a real stealth game. Outrunning enemies isn't guaranteed anymore and engaging is far more stressful. Less items to craft things, so starting with 0 items means you don't walk in with a clear advantage.  Having the ability to heal your teammate to 100% but not yourself really makes for some better co-op / sticking together moments.  Rais's men are just that little bit more dangerous and tougher, giving you real incentive to run like hell for airdrops.
In a nut shell hard mode plays like how the game should be for the competitive gamer. Don't go into it guns blazing with your airstrikes and max level angel sword as you miss out on so much of the survival vibe.

Bray Wyatt reacted to Sam Powers in My Rating
Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to look into this post. I recently realized that when i joined these forums i never laid down a foundation of what i thought about dying light, i just delve right into throwing my opinions out there! So this post is for me to lay down that foundation!

I like to rate games based on my own little rating system, similar to gameinformers rating system, accept mines a little different. In a day and age where many many games have the same basic theme (zombie games, war games, sports), its hard to find a good quality game that introduces new things each year, as expected, with so many game developers out there, gaming is a large, and growing, industry. The good games today, ive noticed, have something different about them. For example, Call of duty's zombie mode, or madden and fifa's and others sports games online team mode, or how about destiny altogether! These games are made great by what they do that separates them from the other games along the same theme.
So in my rating system, i award a point in different categories that the game does differently and well. if a game has multiplayer, but theres nothing special about it, it gets no points. for instance, call of duty's multiplayer from MW2 to MW3 hardly changed, therefore i would give MW3 no points in the multiplayer category. heres how i break it down:

    Rating System
    Gameplay (2 points available)
    Storyline (3 points available)
    Multiplayer (3 points max)
    Realism (1 point)
    Miscellaneous (1 point)

important, most games that i think are good end up with a rating of 5, because of the weird way i rate them.

Now that you know how my rating system works, lets jump into the Review.
Im gonna start by saying that Dying Light is one of my most favorite games of all time, among those of Call of Duty, Destiny, and other tier 1 games. its got good gameplay, feels realistic and has a very different kind of multiplayer.

As for gameplay, a zombie game cant be a zombie game in third person, its just not the same. Every zombie gamer loves the close relationships and personal feelings they have with their beloved zombies. Techland only put a few guns in this game, usually used to dispatch Rais's men, and occasionally to get over that goon or demolisher youre struggling with, but melee weapons are always of the favor in this game that combines hack and slash with free running movements. and might i metion, Techland did a PHENOMENAL job at combining these two elements. Although this game has its fair share of glitches, its gameplay is nearly glitch free.

now the storyline, or "campaign" if you must insist. In my opinion the storyline to this game is absolutely phenomenal as well. just the right amounts of twists and turns, but overall giving you a good idea of what direction the game is going. the bad guys stay bad and the good guys stay good, but there are often times when you find yourself as the gamer questioning whether or not a, certain character, will take a trip on the merry-go-round-and-dont-come-back. With its wide selection of side missions to keep the gamer busy after completion of the main story, its re playable X 10, not only that, but there are challenges as well and a great wide open world to explore, and PLENTY of collectibles for those gamers.

Multiplayer. Ohhhhh multiplayer... listen techland, the co-op is great, you did a really good job with it. This game is great with friends. And we all love the co-op challenges that pop up in game (sorry drawing a blank on those thingses names). And were all happy that you made us able to change their frequency and change our game to friends only or public. yah did good. But please, please, continue your work on the Be the Zombie mode. Many gamers are unhappy with it, including myself, yet i still have so much fun with it when it goes well. I know youre working on a patch, and that fixing BTZ is a process, i just cant wait for that process to be complete!

Realism. the good thing about dying light, and a big reason i fell in love with it so quickly, is that the characters lines are actually kind of realistic. only a few stupid lines, compared to most games nearly all of their lines are dumb. and the engine you used was very realistic, heck its definitely got the right name, "natural movement."

Miscellaneous. the game has quite a few what i call menu glitches. such as save glitches and those pesky duplication glitches. i usually allow a game a few glitches, but when it interferes with the quality of the game...

    The Verdict
Gameplay scores 2 out of 2 for having a great engine, and combining hack n slash and parkour perfectly.
Storyline scores 3 out of 3 for having a storyline with just the right amount of twists and turns, and a great ending, along with plenty of interesting side quests
Multiplayer scores 1 out of 3 for having fantastic co-op, and a different sort of (great idea) multiplayer. however i took one point away for poorly creating that multiplayer.
Realism scores 1 out of 1 with natural movement and realistic lines
Miscellaneous scores -1 out of 1 for having many menu glitches that interfere with game quality.

Overall Dying Light scores a 6
If the developers can fix the glitches, improve the be the zombie mode, and score one more point in miscellaneous, itd be a perfect game!

    Thanks for reading

You can go grab another one from the quartermaster for free at any time (same with the UV flashlight). Also, I'm pretty sure it turns up in your stash in safe zones if you lose it.

So I was determined to play this new DLC so I found a work around on how to get the season pass to download, here's how.

    1. Launch the game
    2. Go to Extras then PS Store
    3. Season Pass should say free, press X
    4. Press X on download, it'll load then say purchased.
    5. The DLC will now say free! Enjoy!

drink the potion(make sure your in slums when you do it)  she will promp a fetch quest, which leads to another potion, which gives you another quest, there are 3 to do after the mushrooms you get in the cave.  lol just keep at it drinking what she gives you, and make sure your in a safe spot when you do it

For the QZ trophy, you can try to Start a new game on a new slot, used advanced options to start from the clinic mission in old town,  thisll start you around level 12.  then jsut run to all the qz's and do them,  do the 3 in old town first,  then the stuffed turtle in the slums,  then the rest in any order.  I know alot of people who got it this way.( i give the order because for the people i know atleast it tended to pop up when they did one of those 4 and not having to do all 8 again)  While your doing it, pick up any collectibles on your way,  that one is glitched as well, but picking up extra collectibles that youve already got on other slots seems to unlock it lol    Saving survivors from rais men on others games also count towards your total.(they are harder to find towards the end, the trophy seems to be glitched aswell, for me it as 20, i know some who got it at 17, another at 23))

the side quest one doesnt have a work around at the moment.

I had to look through 3 Pages to get to the Thread i was interessted in, how about you close your registration for now and clear out those Spambots and after that, set registration to moderated so you can only get access after a Mod or Admin gives the ok. Yes it causes more work, but what do you else want? Do nothing, having Spambots invading your forums and dealing with customers who are mad at this forum for not being watched properly or have to do more work and have happy customers?

    But for now..... I'm out.

Bray Wyatt reacted to Shockr in Survivor Mod [Increased Difficulty, Level Cap, Loot Tables]
The Survival mod is intended to make life a little more like a survival game by reducing a lot of factors that make Dying Light too much of an arcade game for me and my coop friends. Now you'll have to spend more time scavaging parts you need and crafting should mean using your resources wisely.

I have a lot planned to make this a more fleshed out mod, so I'll keep adding content and I'm happy to implement ideas the community has that would fit the mod. For things like hunger, dehydration and sleep.. I may have to wait for the mod-tools to be available.. but when they are!!!

Here are some of the features I currently have working. Please consider that there are many mods available now that currently do the same or similar, we're all tweaking the same files from data0.pak

    - Increased difficulty: now you'll need to earn more experience to gain the higher level skills. Some skills will require more than 1 point to obtain.

    - Increased level cap and experience required to get there. Currently up to level 40 in all three skill trees. This means you may not be able to get EVERY skill as this would need 42+ skill points, so spend wisely. This works very well in co-op where you can share the burden of crafting items.

    - Removed frequency of a lot of loot drops. In many situations, you're just as likely to get an empty cupboard as you were to find something. This also removed certain items from locations that seem out of place. (no more disc blades in kitchen cupboards, for example)

    - Now the only place to get metal scrap is from weapons you find. Decide if you want to repair your own with the metal scrap, or sell a found item for cash. Loot is dramatically reduced.

    - Added cooldown to flashlight (45 seconds use, 6 second recharge

    - Added stamina usage to kick (this seems to only function when stamina is already draining from melee)

    - Reduced ammo carry capacity for pistol, shotgun and rifle (30, 30, 60 respectfully)

    - Reduced stack sizes for loot, valuables and throwables (30, 5, 10 respectfully)

    - More to come...!
