    Dying Light Update Testers Wanted

    Hey every one, We are looking for active Dying Light PC players who are willing to provide us with feedback on the upcoming updates. We'd like to give a select group of players access to the upcoming updates in advance and ask them to provide to with comments and feedback.     Dear Hellraid Fans

    Dear Hellraid fans, Over the past few weeks we stayed rather quiet about our game. But we had a good reason for it: the scope of Hellraid is expanding rapidly. Thanks to the positive feedback Hellraid has received, it's now possible for us to put much more resources into the game and aim higher than ever before. Our team has already tripled its initial size and is now comparable to the team behind Dying Light. It lets us create a much richer top-tier game, which will be Techland's next major release after Dying Light. Everything you think you know about Hellraid will be bigger, better, and more… beautiful. However, the changes brought about by the expansion of the project called for more bold decisions, one of them being a cancellation of the Early Access launch. As new possibilities opened up, we had to re-evaluate the plan to release an early version of the game and decided against it. We feel that Early Access is no longer suitable for a game of Hellraid's scope and could misrepresent our product. We know that many of you wanted to raid hell as soon as possible so our decision might not be what you expected. However, we believe we can exceed your expectations and our game will be well worth the wait. With the expansion of our project already underway, we're now beginning preparations to unveil Hellraid in the form we always wanted it to take. We'll have more exciting news for you early next year.     Co-Op Issue/connection Problems

    Hi every one, We are aware that due to the large number of players creating damage on the streets of Harran (we're still blown away by the support – loving you guys!), some of you are getting temporary issues with the co-op portion of Dying Light. We want you to know that we do not want you to have any interruptions to your game experience. We want you to have as much fun as you possibly can get. We ourselves love to play co-op, especially against you guys (keep an eye out for a Techland t-shirt wearing Kyle – that's us). The co-op issue should be now fixed. With PC's, implementing the patch is almost instantaneous, and there shouldn't be any issues with co-op anymore (please let us know if it's otherwise). Unfortunately with new-gen consoles, distribution of the patch takes a little bit longer. The patch is now ready and is waiting to be published, so hold tight. We hope that any moment now the patch will be available for download, and there should be no further interruptions to your co-op shenanigans.     Save Bug/inventory Lost Issue

    Hi guys, We've noticed how some of you are having issues with the corrupt Save bug – were all of your Skill Points, Inventory, and Weapons were lost. I know that a lot of you were frustrated that you lost all your progress and had to start everything from scratch. Well, I am happy to report that we have a solution for you. It will not 100% restore your save, but at least you can still continue the story with Skill points and weapons. So, if you don't want to start the game from scratch, what you can do is follow this instruction: · Go to Main Menu · Choose “Play Campaign†· Press X or Square on an empty save slot to enter “Advanced save menu†· Highlight the bottom option called “New Game from Quest†and choose from which point you would like to start a new save. The furthest chapter you can start from is the last mission you reached. Doing this will allow you to start from the begging of the last mission you unlocked. It will also give you Skill points for each Skill Tree which you can spend however you wish. The amount of skill points you have is determined by how far you've gone into the story. You will also have a pack of weapons, throwables, and consumables appropriate for selected game progress. Pretty much, you are not left with nothing – you can still go out there, and create havoc on the streets. I understand that this does not bring back your save exactly how you had it. However, it does allow you to still keep going with the story without having to go again through the tutorial, or even worse, facing a pack of Volatiles in the Old Town with a Level 1 character. Once again, if you are having any issues, please send any feedback through to us. We listen to what you guys say, and we are here to help you out as much as we can. The feedback is invaluable, so please keep it coming.
  6. Hi everyone, Here is an FAQ relating to Hellraid. These are some of the most frequently asked questions that we have coming from our fans, all in one place, with the answers. We will be updating this list as time goes on. _______________________________________________ When is Hellraid Early Access coming out? The Early Access version is coming out Fall 2014 What will be available in Early Access? Early Access Launch Version will have fragments of gameplay for each game mode and will allow co-op on day one. Further content will be provided with updates. Dead Island had a rocky launch. Will Hellraid be like that? One of the goal of Early Access is to eliminate any bugs that could slip into the final version. But we don't only rely on the community here. Techland as a company has grown a lot since the days of Dead Island, we now have a lot more resources and manpower to devote to quality assurance. You told us about the exploration aspect of the game. Is Hellraid going to be open world? Hellraid is a level-based game, it won't be open-world. Will there be an option of a 3rd person view like in Skyrim? Hellraid is FPP only. What is so unique about your combat system? There's a lot of talk about how amazing and immersive the combat is. That immersive, brutal combat is one of our design goals. We put a lot of effort into researching real sword fighting and translating that into fast, brutal gameplay. We combine just the right amount of realism with the needs of tactical, fast and meaty gameplay. Add dynamic quick slots, combine with magic, interactive environment, special abilities and co-op, and you get something that is really amazing. Will there be dual-wielding in the game (two weapons at the same time)? Currently, there are no plans for dual-wielding in Hellraid. We are really happy with our quick-slot system, which allows for very efficient weapon/spell swapping, which should alleviate the need for dual-wield. Tell us more about the skill system and levels. How will the skills affect gameplay? You haven't shown us anything about skills and levelling so far. Hellraid features a class-free skill tree. The tree has three main branches, representing Might, Magic and Agility skills. Those branches are intertwining, allowing for a truly customizable demon slayer. We don't want to force players into any archetypes, while still giving them the ability to become an all-powerful mage or a mighty, steel-clad warrior. It's all up to the player. What can you tell us about crafting? Will crafting be in game? You told us about enchantment elements during the demo. So far we have implemented an enchantment system into the game that allows players to improve their weapons and armour through collecting magical gems and reagents specified in an enchantment scroll. It's those scrolls that will determine what you can do with your items. We are always looking for new ways of implementing crafting, and that is something we want our community to help us with. Tell us something about the story and the main character. Hellraid Story Mode will follow the last member of an ancient, cursed kin, forced into an uneasy alliance with an old and powerful mage. Together, they will strive to uncover an infernal plot and stop the forces of hell from devouring their world. We don't want to spoil the story too much, so you will have to wait for the final version of the game. Will I be able to create my own character? What customization options will I have? Is there a female character? Players will be able to customize their character during character creation, and later through equipped items. We will reveal more specific information on customization in the future. Player character will most likely be gender-locked, because of story elements. What can you tell us about co-op mechanics? A lot of co-op balancing is a work in progress. So far we have two main factors – the individual strength of enemies and their numbers. Those change according to the number of players, and serve as basic data for difficulty level calculations. Is the game going to be different in terms of gameplay / difficulty etc. when played cooperatively, in comparison to single player? We believe any game is better when played with friends, so the co-op experience will most likely be very different from single-player.

    Easy there big fella. Chaos_Deception was just doing his job - making sure that the conversation does not turn into a Wild West show-down. Attacking him personally does nothing to add to the conversation. So dasorrow, that's not on. In terms of us looking at your feedback - trust me, we read these forums and use the feedback to make the multiplayer mode the best it can be. Keep the feedback coming.

    An Important Announcement

    Dear Hellraid fans, We would like to officially announce that our dark fantasy FPP game Hellraid will not be released this year as previously planned, and the development of the game has been put on hold. In the recent months we conducted an internal analysis and came to the conclusion that Hellraid, in its current shape and form, is not meeting our own expectations for this project. Therefore, we decided the best course of action would be to send it back to the drawing board and invent our dark fantasy title anew. In the meantime, we will consolidate our development resources and focus on further expansion of our Dying Light franchise. We wish to thank all our fans for your support – you're the best!

    Developer Chupacabra

    If it's a bit hard, try looking around the arena - you'll find some basic weapons there. They're not fancy, but they'll do the trick. Also, try to get rid of the Virals first. And one last tip - use the spikes scattered around the arena, and do some zombie shishkebabs! Let us know how you go!

    Dying Light Ultimate Edition Season Pass Glitch

    Unfortunately that is not something that we can fix on our end. You will have to reach out to Sony/PSN, and they will be able to help you out. Have you spoken to them already?
  22. Actually, both the US and EU have the same content - it's just that the naming of the patches is a bit different. At one stage, the US got two patches, while EU received content of both patches as one, hence the difference in the patch numbers. Don't worry though - both continents have access to the same content. No one is missing out on anything
