  1. Heyha, it would be really awesome to have someone on your buggy who can fire differnet weapons. I suggest that he can fire his own weapons, throw stuff (grenades, molotov etc.) or if you gathered enough parts, a mountable MG which can be upgraded. Like start with 400 rpm and go to 1000, add explosive (or fire) ammunition and maybe go late game with a gatling gun? I would really really like to see this idea. What do you guys think about this? Any more suggestions related to that? I would really like to see this in game, since there is this 10-12 program, maybe the devs could integrate it there, mhm? Cheers!
  2. Hi Guys, as I saw your challenge today I tried to install and run the Developer Tools but it didnt worked for me. It says:" Dying Light installed on this computer is not compatible with Developer Tools". I could imagine it doesnt work because this game is not available in Germany due to violent restrictions and stuff like that. :/ Although I would like to join this contest and design some stuff, not forget to mention to test the Developer Tools and make some cool stuff. Would be great if you can fix this. Greetz

    The Official Modding Tools Thread

-Map Editor -Tools to turn of HUD, increase zombie amount, strength, speed etc. -Item Editor, that would be absolutley amazing, create your own zombie weapons like harpoon sticks, spears bows, crossbows and stuff like that would be just fantastic -Create own missions or events

    New Competition/giveaway

Michał Napora started the Dying Light Soundtrack giveaway and said he would start another giveaway, sowhat do you think about giving away some docket codes? I think it is not that hard to create some docket codes, but it's a nice price though. But I still don't have an idea for a competition.
  5. Hello guys, I know there is already a thread with 800+ replies for future requests and stuff but I think it is easier for the developers to have one list which will be continuously updated. So I made the effort to read through all replies and made a list where almost all points are summarized. As I read on page 26 (fu*k me that was a sad moment..) the dev's said:†Dying Light is now "closed", meaning that no more assets are being put into the game. We've gathered all of your suggestions, ideas, feedback, and other useful comments, and we have used some of them in the game itself. Nice one!“ Although Dying Light is a triple A game and I think there will be future content for it, so let's don't give up the hope for some of these ideas. J So if you got more ideas, just post them and I will edit my post, so your ideas will be added to that list too. Let's start… · Safehouse defend/build a base and defend it against zombies (at night) Possibility to reinforce/upgrade it · Safehouses can be overrun by zombies if you don't can hold them back means you have to flee or to fight for your life when they breaking in and next day to take it back if you failed to defend it (zombies just attack a safehouse if a player is hiding there?) · Build yourself safezones with boards, stones, wire, spike traps etc. not as safe as “normal†safezones, can be overrun by zombies · Multiple squads of co ops in the same server. Maybe 4 groups of 4 players. Have limited supply drops at random locations that the squads of survivors must fight over or share. Have proxy chat so deals between groups can be struck. · More clothes and options to look different, haricuts etc. · Hardcore mode that requires you to find food, water, bandages, and other survival supply's in single player as well as coop (I know the dev's said they don't want to add it in the normal game, but maybe a DLC or sth. like that) · Military breakdowns or helecopter crashes for special loot, hard to get · Massive zombie arena (maybe like in dead island) · Last surviving team! (choose your parteners, and last team to be alive wins or last team to make it to the morning) Run around chaos (other players are free to ally or loot you)with # of kills / scoreboard of the night (I'm pretty sure that type of scoreboard already/should exist) · Protect player X! One player is the target of zombies, help him survive! (he cannot stay in one spot for too long or event X happens) · Escort survivors to safety zones. It could be our choice. A survivor says "I need your help", the player gets a choice whether to help or not · Multiplayer game mode is 'Catch The Thief'. These are the details: The thief starts with a stolen object, which needs to be returned to the thief's homebase. The collectors need to chase and recover the stolen item, and attempt to return it to base. It is about to get night, so incase the collectors are able to recover the item just before nightfall, they still have to find their way back through the dark. One problem. Zombies are changing, and become much faster and much stronger. (Keep the special fast ones out of it though, otherwise it might be too much for the collectors. The thief doesn't get spotted by the infected as fast as the collectors do. And because the thief also has access to items such as firecrackers, flares, (airhorns?), etc. They are in for a bad time. The Collectors are fast runners, but they are bulky, and are unable to climb most obstacles. whereas the thief is very nimble which makes him able to climb or vault over almost any obstacle. · A game mode like be a zombie but its co op and if you die and don't get revived you will become a zombie, probably with more players. Game ends when the last human was killed or the zombies were killed. · Throw animal meat into a crowd of zombies to distract them. · Dual wield, pistol and shield, pistol and one hand weapon, 2 knifes etc. · Special airdrops at night with rare items (attracts zombies cause of flares humas will be there too sometimes?) · Random persons strafing around, searching for supplies etc. maybe friendly maybe not, depends also on how you encouter them · Some weapon suggestions: Bear traps(different effects, electric, fire, exploding), Karambit knife, 3 section staff, Knuckle-duster, Nuchucks , Flail, , get a dog as supporter, acids powerful enough to melt flesh right off their bones(or bones too if u like), Medieval Weapons Some firearms: Remington ACR (Remington, not Bushmaster, not Magpul Masada) with Gen-7 Five-side-rail handguard, 16.5'' or 18" barrel, AAC BlackOut flash hider, 6-position right-folding stock, Magpul P-MAG 30 or 40 and Magpul MBUS ironsights, Remington GPC, 44 magnum, Flamethrower, X26 Taser, wooden stock bolt rifles, flare gun, crossbow, bow and other stealth long range weapons (less ammunition but you can get it back by pulling it out of the dead bodies, sometimes it could break) · An Ice Mod attachment on weapons that freezes enemies · Infected animals, mostly dogs · Exotic weapon dealers, katana and stuff like that · A big enough map so that there is enough space for almost limitless exploration. The map complexity can be increased by making all building interiors accessible by players and npcs, by adding height with towers, radio masts, poles and such, or by adding deep spaces, like cellar levels to larger buildings or maybe a city-wide sewer system · DLC's with new side mission stories and locations maybe new city? an island or cruise ship · DLC with a 4th skill tree titled 'Ranged' with unlockable abilities such as being able to shoot while vaulting over things, perhaps a small time slow effect when zooming in, dual wielding pistols, weapon attachment category unlocks · Different seasons which bring different effects · Steam Trading, weapons, blueprints etc. · Ingame microphone attracts nearby zombies attention · As firearms are available in the game, weapon attachments (Battlefield 4 styled attachments system) and stat upgrades in the game Optics: Short, Medium, Long range Muzzle: Muzzle Braker, Suppressor Under-Barrel: Foregrip (Angled grip), Grenade Launcher Accessories: Lasersight, Flashlight, Extended mag (X-15 magazine as extended mag for AR-15 models), Bayonet · Move minimap back to the bottom left corner and integrate the health, medkit/syringe, compass gauges and distance to target into the minimap, that would make the HUD less complex and mission objectives can be shown on top left corner · Different fighting styles that you can learn from well hidden books, NPC's, or maybe even learn different fighting styles when doing certain base attacks. As an example: 1. Fist fighting + strength = Boxing 2. Fist fighting + Agility = Wing Chun? 3. Kicking + Agility/Strength = Taekwondo 4. Fist Fighting + Kicking + Strength = Kick Boxing 5. Fist Fighting + Kicking + Agility = Muay Thai 6. Everything mixed = Street Brawling? · “clan warsâ€, different clans fighting each other, possibility to help one of the teams · “Lava floor modeâ€, run challenge, when you touch the ground you loose, (zombies chasing you) · Split Screen · A sandbox mode/ creative mode where you can make your own zombie/parkour challenge · A trap you can make that has four spinning blades on it and chops up zombies · badass heavy metal/ metalcore/ punkrock playlist to listen to when killing zombies · make your own playlists · Rain: - If its raining and you slide under a bar, your sliding should be definitely longer. - Fire weapons less effective - Electricity weapons more effective - Clothes get wet (you may get a cold and need medicine to cure it) - Decreased vision - Firecrackers shouldnt work or should be almost ineffective - Optional: You can watch some zombies slip on the watery ground when they chase you - Optional: Blood gets washed off from your clothes / skin. Avoids infection. Sand Stormy: - Decreased vision - If you are wounded, then the storm might infect your wounds and you need penicilin to cure it. - Optional: When you shoot with a gun, the heavy wind will effect the ballistic (flight path) of your bullet. Especially when shooting with arrows or throwing knives. - Optional: Special zombies that only appear when it is stormy. Or look different (storm makes clothes dirty or sth.) - Optional: Heavy winds may make zombies slower · Co-op Player customization Skins (for both weapons and players), cloths (and equipment) · Flood during gameplay do to bad weather making it difficult for zombies and players · You and your clan share the things you found while scavenging around when you put them in a box in one of your safehouses. Not only when they are in your game, also when you're offline. The items in the box are saved in the cloud and maybe all or special member of the clan who has the rights to take the items they need can take them anytime when he is in the right safehouse · Having a safehouse maybe something small and as the game progresses you can get your safehouse to become bigger and have better strength. · When you see a survivor trapped you could extend on this and maybe see a survivor running away from zombies and you got to kill them and escort him to a safe area. · Can you add this ability where you can have a pick lock or a thing called something like strong foot where you can practically break down or pick lock any building on the game or most building so it feels like real life where you can just break a door down when you want. (maybe depends on the door, you could use a strong weapon for a wooden door, metal door only lockpick? Shouldn't be to easy) · It would be great if you have a mode, where you can safe the entire city. In the mode you would have a map with places where the infected are marked in red and when you kill them, they wont spawn again. Like you have e.g. 2000 zombies all over the map and have to kill them all to free the city of them. You can call that realistic mode, you have no second life and then you can play coop with your frieds with different characters and character Customizing, because the mode is not included in the story. You can bring at a dlc later. You can safe the game, but when all of you die the data would be deleted. Thats an realistic "free the city" mode maybe with different difficuties. And more or less zombies in every new game. Then you could bring more maps as dlc. The weapon crafting system and safehouse stay the same as they are in story mode. · Randomly spawning spilled petrol Imagine it's night time and you are desperately running away from the horde. Suddenly you see some gas petrol dripping from a car or a barrel. You equip your lighter, throw it in the spilled petrol and boom goes half of your pursuers! Of course that would require you to run the hell away because all the zombies in a mile radius would go mental. · Quarantine crews being a threat: Let's say they are not willing to trust you and instead just shoot at you in case you have a weapon equipped. You could approach the with your weapons lowered and get some free items or, if they freak out and shoot at you, shoot back or let them get killed by the zombies.

    Dying Light Soundtrack Giveaway

I was running above the roofs as I saw a zombie around 10 meter far away. I sprinted to him and kicked him with a heavy dropkick down the streets. Right in this moment my friend was looting there as the zombie smashed in and he was like:"WTF flying zombies in Dying Light, I thought the game would be serious chupacabra :o" We both laughed way to much after this happening
  8. Hello, could anyone explain me why it's not possible to run the game smooth on above 30 fps with max settings? I even reduced the graphic to medium and deactivated some NVIDIA options. What is going on there. System specs: Intel core i7-2600l GTX 970 Zotac 8GM Ram Running the game on a hdd EDIT: I read a post where somone said, reducing the Draw Distance by 50% or even more would help a lot! I tested it and it worked pretty well, no lags and everything else on max. I also didnt noticed a difference between Draw Distance to max and even when I reduced it to "0". Give it a try.
  9. Hello, as we know we can recieve some weapon dockets, so my question would be what will happening when I start a new campaign after openening all weapon dockets. Will I get the same one or different ones, or no ones cause I already got mine in the previous campaign game? In my opinion I think I should get the weapon dockets again in a new campaign cause I often play good games more then only one time and without these dockets I would feeling like Im missing sth. Cya

    That would be awesome

    Q: More Weapon Dockets?

3/4 Dockets for everyone or just for the customers of the physical edition?

    Q: More Weapon Dockets?

Yay, that would be awesome. Maybe on their Facebook Page or Website, but who knows. And btw, I thought the additional dockets would be only for the customers of the physical edition, because digital edition got no delay?!

    Q: More Weapon Dockets?

Hello, it is possible to recieve more weapon dockets? I know that you can get them via pre order but there is also a possibilty to redeem codes? Are there any codes to get more dockets or sth. like that? Greetz
  14. Hello, I would like to know if I can play with my friends the 'be the zombie dlc' together when we all pre ordered it, because I think it would be much more fun to play it with your friends against other 4 players in coop. And would it be like youre playing with your friends and suddenly 4 be-the-zombie-dlc-players would fu*k your team up? Can I still get the 8 weapons from the weapon dockets if I pre order it now? Or just 7 now? Greetz
