So I'd like to think I have a good grasp on being a night hunter. I don't play the human side at all. I win most of my matches but when I get into a game with survivors that are really good I find it impossible to even get a kill. Here are some of my issues.

The better survivors have huge duped inventories and can switch items quickly. This means that when I do finally get a spit hit, UV or Horde, they simply throw flares or use cloak potion. This makes my spit that I worked so hard for to get useless. Even if I get a UV spit they will have their UV light on my a lot with flares peppered around them or their buddy will interrupt me.

The other issue is that since tackles and pounces will be avoided 98% of the time the only other option is claw and ground pound. This isn't good either because in the time it takes to swing your claw and ready ground pound the survivor was able to dodge backwards 2-3 times. A failed ground pound leaves me open for an alternating dropkick lock that leads to my death. A missed dropkick for them isn't punishable. They stand within 1 second and take reduced damage while down. Why do we have a move that is punishable with death and leads to a whole nest lost but a survivor doesn't?

Lastly... the UV light has such a long range and drains me super quickly. Even with UV block I'm required to constantly hit and run and still end up getting caught fully drained. When this happens I just turn around and hope to ground pound. The better players will just switch to a gun or bow and there is no stopping them cause somehow they're able to hold the button on a flashlight while pulling back a bow.

I'm hoping for some good pointers on this and not tge typical 'get better' comment. I even try the UV spit with a tackle (evaded but spit hits) and then try to pounce but the other survivor is far enough away to not get hit and then interrupts my pounce and the spit/block were wasted and now the ground has 4-5 flares down which are far enough apart to not be ground pounded.

Hahaha, Doctor.... I was chasing a human the other day that was horde stuck. As I was approaching him I went to claw to ready a ground pound and just as I did a horde moved into my screen causing me to hit him and explode on me. I guess I don't give them long enough lunch breaks.

Here you guys go. A fun match 3v1 with one of my favorite pounces near the end.

I agree, and it is something to cause the humans to think about. You complain that a mediocre hunter is winning... Do you play NH? We've been losing to mediocre humans in the Pacific Flare Ocean since most humans will never see the flare icon say anything less than 99.

If you get UV stuck.... throw a flare. What is the hunter going to do? Ground pound the flare, yay! You now have to avoid this GP and punish the hunter and I know high end survivors can 1h throw to tackle to kill instantly. Humans are just sad because they can't watch a movie anymore while playing.

Flares are one of the worst things to me as a hunter. You would finally get a UV spit and they throw a triangle of flares to dodge between. I don't play much 1v1 because I feel it's always been unbalanced but I do agree that 1 flare sucks for you survivors. I have stuck humans with UV, ground pounded them and flare then simply wait for stamina to go up. Some humans will just stop and wait for pounce now because there is NOTHING they can do. In my opinion tho hunter have a lot of punishable attacks whereas humans have very little. I do enjoy this because it makes humans think BUT now safe zones and water holes are being rushed to hide in.

One tactic I like to use works very well if you can get the timing and aim right. It can be very deadly now with only 1 flare. Keep in mind that this is going to assume that the human will dodge the tackle as most high end survivors do but this is used to keep them animation locked to get hit with spit.

Tackle Juke - UV Spit + UV Block > Tackle 180 spin + Pounce.

In other words... Use you UV spit as you're closing the distance then UV block before you get hit with too much light. ASAP you need to tackle attempt the human to lock them near your spit, if not a stick. Then simply turn 180 and pounce before UV block wears. Don't use pounce to animation lock because it ends your UV Block and could lose just enough stamina to not be able to pounce after.

I read the first 2 sentences and couldn't read anymore. I've watched plenty of videos where you abort cause you're losing jonnyallen3. I know everything about the survivor side but I choose not to play as a survivor.

Great match Daniel and EMtrix, good stuff. Lot of good spit sticks and quick tackles. Hard to do on console over PC. Very fluent with survivor inventory switching. Something I'll probably never learn. Also, I barely try cause, unless it's changed with new pools, I always get good NH while I'm trying to learn the human side controls. I know what to do but executing is the real battle.

I can honestly say that I'd like some changes but the way the game stands is fine. I played a match today against 4 lv 250 legend survivors and it was tough but with the handicap system you have a great chance to come back.

If more hunters just stayed with the games, instead of aborting after a couple weak mistakes, they'd realize they get OP as we fall behind.

NH are much faster than humans. With tendril sprint I can run as fast as military part buggies. Not to mention a human exiting a vehicle is vulnerable to pounce from above. Not to mention that once you learb to stop a buggy you can give your life going for a kill cause you will respawn before they get to nest.

I understand that there are frustrations but everything I've encountered is combatable. I only get frustrated at dropkick lagg where I get kicked from the height of my jump cause they are magnetized but again.... this could be solely lag issues.

Thanks Doctor, means a lot. That death you're talking about around 10:00 was a mistake. I was trying to tendril to flying ground pound but the hunter grabbed tge bus and climbed. I tried to bail but he got me from a ways.
