Things You May Not Know About The Night Hunter

For the tendril clip you will hold your tendril button and then hit claw while stile holding the tendril button. As you stop tendril and you see the claw animation let go of both button and hit tebdril again.

Not sure why but was in middle of a good match when 2 survivors joined and the credits appeared on screen for me, as night hunter. Was unable to do anything. Also figured I'd add in a nice mid-air tackle dodge that is supposedly not supposed to happen. I know, it's lag.... then what's the point. Just let them dodge anytime then.

    Surviors

I would also like to play with some experianced survivors. I'm on PS4 and know the NH role extremely well but still getting used to the item swap. I'm not very good as a human but really want to learn and can't do it alone.

Things You May Not Know About The Night Hunter

Thanks for info, will be testing out some of these and recording short demos this week. I'd also like to add some of the combos that the NH can do that are effective and some techniques used against certain scenarios. An example would be: UV Block > UV Supp Spit Smash > Pounce/Leapfrog

Nice, I didn't hear about the GP door technique. I can see people complaining but just stay away from doors and we can't use it. Will add those two to the list.

I watched a video today of a survivor killing a nest in under 6 seconds using 5 burning throwing stars..... I have been hearing people use explosive arrows a lot now but that is crazy. That means if you die (NH) when the humans first reach the nest they can easily kill all of them before you respawn. As if dealing with all the other stuff the survivors get wasn't troublesome enough.
  8. So in this little video I tried to GP when I knew I was going to be dropkicked. You can see me swing the melee and start to fist motion downwards, with audio, and I still get dropkicked. This is the only chance we have to counter DK and it's so hard and tine precise when a human can spam dodge to avoid all of our tackles and GP?????

    Ground Pound Beating Dropkick? Barely.....

Yeah, and I figured the lagg thing was going to come up. But that's the thing. If lagg is like this, how can this be our means of countering DK and I agree with the tackle idea but it's hard to tackle good humans.

    Awnswer Me This Techland Plz.

Each side has it's utilities to kill the other. We may die in 3 hit but xan regen to full whereas a survivor has to use a medkit. They also have to deal with tge NPC zombies which can be troublesome to new players. I definitely think the mode is unbalanced but not for this reason. Big flaws I have are this: - humans can dodge with no end, can still dodge a tackle even in mid dodge since you're already spamming jump button. - with the amount humans dodge and the distance they can dodge I find the GP penalty harsh. - humans can drink a duped cloak potion to nullify a horde spit that was so hard to work for. As if keeping them off buildings wasn't enough trouble. A good survivor will dodge off a roof and grapple back to punish the NH GP penalty. And tackles and pounces will be dodged then possible DFA. These are a few that annoy me but I've been trying to figure out ways around this.

Although these things make a human hard to play, you can be unbeatable once you do. I've pretty much decided that I have to quit playing NH cause people spamming dodge is just getting rediculous. If the counted how many times a player used dodge in a match it would be near 500.

The hunter taking 2-3 hits to kill is still a balance. You can leapfrog an entire team or hit them all with horde spit. We have the potential to wipe a team instantly. People say playing survivor is easy mode.... I must suck then cause I can wreck as a NH but I fumble when switching between flares, uv light and grappling hook and forget to remember to watch the hunter to dodge tackles and pounces from off angles. I'm a brand new survivor getting paired with skilled hunters so that doesn't help but it gets frustrating.

So This Is What It Is, Huh?

My biggest complaint I'd give is the fact that a human can spam dodge with no penalty. This simple action gives them three things: - High chance of moving from a spit. - Moving outside GP for sure kill after. - Avoid almost every incoming tackle. This allows 1 human to be a huge problem and if there is another with him just as good you're helpless. These are the issues I cannot figure out a tactic against asude from running and clawing but then they come towards you for a dropkick or quick kill since it takes 7 claw attacks to kill a 250 human. I'm also not condoning duping but I do believe less humans would play BTZ if they had to farm and this would make the already bad matchmaking systen even more scarce. Most of the time I'm forced to play my lvl 8 mutation 0 hunter and get owned by high survivors in a game with a low rank host cause I only have 6 skills.

Not many people can GP spam and most of the time it's death to the NH. A human can swing 3 times before we can get 2 ground pounds in and most humans will simply dodge backwards and punish hunter when they miss. You need to remember that pounce is interruptable.... let alone has to be 100% and tackle is dodgable. Against really good humans they will rarely get hit by these so that leaves 2 attacks. Claw a ground pound. Claw does 40 damage and humans have up to 275 health now so going toe-to-toe is a death wish. I'm not saying spam but I will GP twice sometimes cause it helps get survivor friends away while I focus one.

Really nothing to get. These 'balance' issues are brought up all the time but they are mearly opinions of players that are unable to counter the other sides actions. This is also a Side DLC that I would love to see brought into the main story but let's be real. Let's talk about the infinite inventories thing quick as well. You know how many survivors wouldn't play if they constantly had to go back to normal campaign to farm materials? "They would be forced to flare less then." Meaning you would be able to pounce more for easy wins. This said by most intermediate NHs they can't or won't figure out a way to face flares.

Techland Please Balance 'be The Zombie' Mode!

I see so many arguements for balancing and if you ask me.... there really isn't much sway to one side. I could say it's messed up and list things that I want changed out of opinion but fact is... humans figure out an easy technique, we NH figure out a counter technique. For everything in the video there is the human error of the player, aside from seldom lag spikes that can affect both sides. The game is good and should remain this way with a few minor tweeks. I would like to see NH legend levels just cause I'd love some cool new things but more than willing to show a method to combat any issue you may have against 'spamming' survivors.

So This Is What It Is, Huh?

I can honestly say that I'd like some changes but the way the game stands is fine. I played a match today against 4 lv 250 legend survivors and it was tough but with the handicap system you have a great chance to come back. If more hunters just stayed with the games, instead of aborting after a couple weak mistakes, they'd realize they get OP as we fall behind. NH are much faster than humans. With tendril sprint I can run as fast as military part buggies. Not to mention a human exiting a vehicle is vulnerable to pounce from above. Not to mention that once you learb to stop a buggy you can give your life going for a kill cause you will respawn before they get to nest. I understand that there are frustrations but everything I've encountered is combatable. I only get frustrated at dropkick lagg where I get kicked from the height of my jump cause they are magnetized but again.... this could be solely lag issues.

Thanks Doctor, means a lot. That death you're talking about around 10:00 was a mistake. I was trying to tendril to flying ground pound but the hunter grabbed tge bus and climbed. I tried to bail but he got me from a ways.

Check out my video above against 4 lv 250 survivors in the slums. I used what nova is talking about to beat them. I get killed a lot and learn from each death how they play. I win in the end.

Had two great matches today. 1st was in countryside and 2nd was in slums. Great job to survivors. Enjoy! 1v2 in Countryside with a 3rd joining midway. 1v4 250 legend in Slums. Hope you enjoy. All criticism welcome.

Glitch found where humans are hiding in the sewer tunnel to the goon in Slums. They are able to shoot and shine UV through the ground while being immune to spits the other way. Here is a video of the spot and 2 humans hiding there. Thank you for looking into it. Keep hunting!
