Awesome Job With The Flare Cool Down

Not only that but dodge is the same button used to avoid tackles. I would be okay with just simply making tackle dodge a different button from strafe dodge so humans actualy have to be good to dodge tackles, not just spam a button.
  2. 1 flare against 4 spits and fast recharge??? I don't know what you play but in a 1v1 the spit recharge is long. For it to be fast you play 4v1 which now gives you 4 flares. It's not out fault if humans don't work together.

The Merits Of Horde Summon Spit.

Hahaha, yeah. I've been getting a lot of awkward kills lately. I'm still a huge fan of the random roof tackle to a super far spike kill.

I like survivor spit as a last ditch oh chupacabra. Like if I miss a ground pound and know a death is close I try to shoot it off cause you'll get 1 anyways when you respawn. It lasts for more than enough time for you to come back.

This is very good but you need to weigh the outcome. If I think I can get a kill with just the horde spit I'd rather save my other spits for next survivor.

I used this method last night while the survivors were in tge water but to be honest.... it's not really worth it. You can be more accurate from outside the water. This would only be used if the survivor is mid ocean and you want to uv spit then and hop they hop out of water for a pounce.

The Merits Of Horde Summon Spit.

Horde is also one of my favorite spits and, as Doctor mentioned, it has many uses. The main use is to kill the human that was hit with spit. If they are skilled and you find it tough to get them down from a building.... or skinny light posts or pipelines, I like to hit them with horde and focus the other players. They will run away and leave you be wgile you get a chance to pester the other survivors. While you use this "distraction" method the non-infected survivors will tend to stay on ground with you and they can be hit by horde if they dodge into them. While doing this though, still keep an eye on that infected survivor cause they will be looking for a DFA when the horde spit ends or even be daring and attempt one anyways.
  8. It's frustrating when trying to stream as well cause it ends it kicking all my viewers out. This has happened on the survivor side but nowhere near as often.
  9. So yeah... anyone else crash a lot as NH while playing on PS4? I will literally crash at least 3 times a day. This has happened both at the start of a match and right in the heat of battle. Don't remember this being like this so checking if it's my system or the servers.

    Post Your Btz Matches!

Hahaha, Doctor.... I was chasing a human the other day that was horde stuck. As I was approaching him I went to claw to ready a ground pound and just as I did a horde moved into my screen causing me to hit him and explode on me. I guess I don't give them long enough lunch breaks.
  11. I agree, and it is something to cause the humans to think about. You complain that a mediocre hunter is winning... Do you play NH? We've been losing to mediocre humans in the Pacific Flare Ocean since most humans will never see the flare icon say anything less than 99. If you get UV stuck.... throw a flare. What is the hunter going to do? Ground pound the flare, yay! You now have to avoid this GP and punish the hunter and I know high end survivors can 1h throw to tackle to kill instantly. Humans are just sad because they can't watch a movie anymore while playing.

How Does The Matching On Dying Light Work?

Awesome response Pete and love the wiki to back it up. It's nice to know exactly what I'm getting now.
  13. I agree that it takes strategy out of the mix. That's never a good thing but you have to look at the overall points of techland reguardless of our opinions. Trust me when I say I'm on your side being a super nerd and playing hours and hours but techland sees it like all other big developers. If the game is hard then you have your small group of elite players stay and few new players come in. This is a revanue loss and that is, unfortunatly, a bigger concern for corperate greed than the satisfaction of the dedicared fan base. I would love this game to be focus on the BtZ aspect rather than the campaign to be honest.
  14. Flares are one of the worst things to me as a hunter. You would finally get a UV spit and they throw a triangle of flares to dodge between. I don't play much 1v1 because I feel it's always been unbalanced but I do agree that 1 flare sucks for you survivors. I have stuck humans with UV, ground pounded them and flare then simply wait for stamina to go up. Some humans will just stop and wait for pounce now because there is NOTHING they can do. In my opinion tho hunter have a lot of punishable attacks whereas humans have very little. I do enjoy this because it makes humans think BUT now safe zones and water holes are being rushed to hide in.

Ground pound does cancel dropkick but with the latency it is very rare to do so. 8/10 times I will see my arms hit the ground with shockwave and then a pair of feet kick me in the face. Also, I like the underwater spit although it looks like they're exploding on the surface and even if you get them with it it's still impossible to kill them while underwater.

    Tactics Againist High Level Survivors.

The issue with the running at someone on a roof, jumping over them, spinning 180 and tackling sounds great for you PC users but try and attempt this on console. There is a minimum range on tackle it seems so even landing next to a human while holding the sprint button and tackle will not activate unless there is enough space. If too close you will just run at the for a hug. I also feel on console it is harder to 1v1 or 1v2 because of these PC tactics not working. I can GP and stick a 1v1 human no problem but they either climb or flare and being unable to execute the PC tactics mentioned means I try to tackle normal or GP them off. The better humans will dodge backwards off roof and grapple back to punish without hitting the ground. Also a missed spit in a 1v1 is a forever timer so connecting with one and it failing is just as bad.

Also, a grapple cancel after a GP off a roof is kinda lame... this is allowing the humabs to mid air dodge a tackle which ends mostly with a DFA. This is one of the only times I know a tackle will land since 90% of ground tackles are evaded from the sides and even behind due to lag. Another issue is the recovery time of survivors if ground pounded into an objects. I had done this the other day and the survivor was able to dropkick me before even hitting the ground because a small fence pole kept him near me and reset him before my GP animation. Wish I had the video.....

How Does The Matching On Dying Light Work?

It's been that way for a while. I am a prey on my human so when I go on I get stuck with widow maker and above which sucks to learn with. I have this issue on my hunter a lot. If I notice them to be weak I will allow them 3 nests for better drops then end it.

    Your Keyboard/mouse Settings For Nh

These are the things that console NH are unable to achieve unless using a tournanent controller. It is very hard to spin and tackle or pounce.

    Tactics Againist High Level Survivors.

One tactic I like to use works very well if you can get the timing and aim right. It can be very deadly now with only 1 flare. Keep in mind that this is going to assume that the human will dodge the tackle as most high end survivors do but this is used to keep them animation locked to get hit with spit. Tackle Juke - UV Spit + UV Block > Tackle 180 spin + Pounce. In other words... Use you UV spit as you're closing the distance then UV block before you get hit with too much light. ASAP you need to tackle attempt the human to lock them near your spit, if not a stick. Then simply turn 180 and pounce before UV block wears. Don't use pounce to animation lock because it ends your UV Block and could lose just enough stamina to not be able to pounce after.

Only 1 Flare? Techland, U Kidding Me?

There is a lot of animosity from this flare update as there should be. I agree with Hank that the hunter needs more abilities. It is very hard to play a hunter but once you get the hang of it you'll see how over powered you can be. It is just unfortunate that you do not get the options as a hunter as you do a human. As a human, you can use 1 hand or 2 hand weapons. You also have the choice of several ranged weapons in both stringed weapons and guns. As mentioned in Hanks post the hunter only gets to upgrade his already existing skills. The problem with this is it forces a single playstyle to be good rather than adding diversity. This would keep the humans on thier toes. Imagine this... a variation of hunter that could use a special spit that nullified flares without the cost of the UV spit. Or a hunter that couldn't stop the flares but had an unavoidable tackle that would fling humans from them. I feel a better fix to the flare issue, and most BtZ issues are to work on the hunter side. It is a cookie cutter glass cannon right now where it's tough to be good on console.
  22. I just started playing human and only 1 flare is killing my learning curve. Even as a high end hunter I feel this makes it too easy. You have my vote.

Only 1 Flare? Techland, U Kidding Me?

I played a game of 2v1 last night and I'm a noob survivor. It had only 1 flare as well. This made it very difficult for me as I'm getting used to the equipment swaps. Now I have 1 chance to throw my flare where I want to without making a mistake.

Need Some Advice From Fellow Night Hunters.

It has always been an issue. Dodge spamming is a tough thing to overcome and makes tackles almost useless unless you're good at max sensativity and try ro jump atound the human to tackle from behind. Even that is a chupacabra shoot. I've found that trying to save spits until I'm 70% sure I can get a spit stick. Try to get used to the ground pound to spit. It's very effective when you get used to it. It tough to be a better hunter. The high end survivors can switch equipment well and have quick heals. The only qay to win is to try abd exploit some pounce scenarios and get some lucky horde kills and hope for no revive.

I hear you there and I enjoy the NH side. I feel like the underdog as a survivor cause on PS4 it is very difficult for me to get used to switching between grappling hook, uv light, flares and boosters. Especially in the heat of a fight when I get UV supressed.
