    Inexcusable for the user to be denied the freedom to customize/remove the HUD in Dying Light on the PlayStation 4, or any video game for that matter. Remarkable that one has to remind a development team about such a basic issue. Fix this issue permanently, by allowing users the freedom to manipulate the HUD as they so wish, on any game, any platform, period. Thanks.

    Volatile and Airsickhydra --- Here are my answers and remember.. It could be an option to toggle off the HUD, not something everyone is forced into doing.. Go to the game options, and select - HUD ON/OFF - Keep that in mind as I answer the questions. How will we know how much HP we have? - Allowing us to plan for fights etc and estimating if fall damage will kill us. ANSWER - that's the point, we don't want to know.. BUT Rapid heartbeat is a indication of too much damage. How will we locate waypoints? The game is based on traveling quite long distances. ANSWER - Survivor Sense shows waypoints. Also I pretty much know the maps by heart. Survivor Sense is still there if needed. How will players know to press X for example next to a child zombie? ANSWER - Because we have done it a thousands times before. Remember new people could still play with the HUD on.. Would we need to press start every time we want to know how many of an item we have? ANSWER - I can look in the inventory, If its an equipped equipment item, I open the round equipment selection wheel and can see the number. How do you know if you have a repair left on your current weapon or not? ANSWER - A message tells you that you need to repair. We are talking about HUD icons, not prompts.. Besides that I can tell when my weapon is not working as it should. Also we have the weapon selection wheel that can tell us how far gone a weapon is. For awhile I played with a no HUD mod and this is how I know these answers. It sure made the game a lot more enjoyable. I am sick of hand holding. I am tired of the wallhacks. Its one of the things I hate about games like Far Cry3-4..

    100% agree Conker. Mind-boggling to think that so many adult-aged, seemingly intelligent development team members fail ( clearly by evidence of no HUD options within many video games) to grasp our view on this topic. They "hand-cuff" their customers to their own ridiculous stubbornness in refusing to allow users an opportunity to customize/remove in-game HUD elements. Although subjective, I personally find most HUD´s kiddy-looking, junky, and cluttery. EA´s Dead Space understood this immediately in their game development. Eliminating needless clutter from the screen instantly injects a higher level of slickness, polish, maturity, and immersion to just about any video game. Health Bars, Stamina Bars, Graphical Weapon Icons, Bullet-Count Reminders, Magic-Potion Levels, Numbers ( points ) Per-Hit Displays, Level-Rank Displays, Kiddy-Colored Circles Beneath Game Character Displays, "Hold X To Stay In Cover" prompts that remain until user leaves cover. Seriously? Welcome to Junk-ville folks. Welcome to Kiddy-Land. It´s pathetic. Total Garbage. Wisen-up devs.

    Problems With The Hunter

    The objective is to destroy all five nests. You win by destroying nests. They say this before every single match. The objective of the night hunter is to kill the survivors 10 times so obviously he needs to be able to hunt. The reason the night hunter can be killed is so that survivors have a chance to complete their objective without being murdered every time he's near (and he moves fast). They need to be able to fight back and defend themselves. This does not mean they can turn the tables and go hunt the night hunter whenever they want. You as a SURVIVOR should not be trying to actively hunt the night hunter at all to save time. You supposed to SURVIVE and destroy the nest before you are wiped out. There are times when you should fight and times you should run. That's what it means to be hunted. Knowing the difference is crucial to playing as a night hunter. As a survivor you never have to run, you can always be on the offense. It should be the other way around.

    Who cares about your bullshit.....dead island was a great game , riptide was to same with the first but it was funny....and dying light is brilliant, no other game got parcour and zombies.....themworld look beutiful...much details....and the game lives for crafting....if you want you can produce your own game called "dying s*it"....when you dont like dying like, ok....but do you dont see that all people here love the game?! I think dying light is one of the most realistic apocalipse game....there happen funny and unique things i never will forgot ....when you dont like it, dont play it....you only are talking bad about techlands game.....i never saw a man who dont like anything at that game, here are alway a few of people which dont like something at the game, but you.....!!     Hello Techland Team and Community. I am a Female Gamer and i whould Love to know, if it is possible to make a Mod where the actual Protagonist could be Female. I find Kyle Crane pretty sympatic but i whould love to have Realistic Immersion for Female Gamer s aswell. I whould not Mind if the Voice is turn to Subtitle Only, for Crane cause i dont think it is so easy to Voice over the Dialog with a Female Voice. I do not think the Animations need any kind of change, just the actual First Person Body should be good to go for the Beginning. May you can make a playable Female Crane Version, for DLC i whould buy that witouth thinking about it. I only Discovered the Slums so far but if there are erotic Scenes, in the Game i do not Mind if it were Female on Female. That Kyle Crane needs to be a Guy is no Argument for Me, i do not hear him say much Manly things at all. Anyway for DLC or Mod this whould make the Game much more interesting for Female Gamer s. I have more than 28 Hours in the Slums only with just 10% or 8% of the actual Story cause i love that Game : ) . I do not have all Discovered, cause i just had to look at the Beautiful Scene sometimes, that took Time too. I ones read a Thread where someone complain, that Br ea sts (Realy censor the Word Brea sts) has not much to do with Immersion, for Females it does so "mean words" for this Person. I find it sometimes realy awkward and dumb, that People say some Breast sizes are actual Sexistic and surreal completly nonsense. We are all not Equal and Different and there are many Types of Male s and Feamle s in the World. So complain about Sexism is pretty Unlogical for Me, i do not get smaller Breast size that Men stare less, just for a example haha ...realy annoying some Feminism has nothing to do with Equality at all. If some Man whould just buy this DLC or install the Mod for the Boo bs (Realy censor this word too?) , i whould care much less than having no Option, to play a Female Character cause i am a Female in Reality too and I prefer that. I am using the Ninja Outfit cause i do not like to play a Full Bearded Guy at all. This Game has so much Potential, i Hope it gets the Attention it needs and way more Female Gamer s with DLC or Mod s. Thanks fo reading this Thread and please do not Delte it, it means much to Me that People pay atleast a bit Attention to it. And if you ask Yourself what i mean by Female Character, i find the New Lara Croft pretty Sweet, not the Anime Cartoonish One i have some similaryties to Her, the New One not the Other..     The Zombie And Survivor Balance

    Before reading, please take note this is my first post on this forum, and I made an account simply to express my opinion on the pvp aspect of dying light. I think Btz is an awesome gamemode regardless. (it does evolve better than evolve) But I feel some changes are in order . I have been playing a fair share of battles - both as a survivor and a night hunter, and it's become apparent to me how unbalanced the game is in the survivors favour. This is coming from a relatively unbiased point of view, as I enjoy playing as the hunter and the survivor. I could write 10 pages worth of text as with different scenarios I've encountered which has left me puzzeled. But I will keep it short and to the point with what is (IMO) the problems with the game mode. Melee combat In dying light, the Hunter is penalized and punished for mistakes made in the melee department. While the Survivor meets punishment to a much less of an extent comparison 1 Night hunter: If a night hunter misses a ground pound, you are pretty much guaranteed a death against a relatively skilled player, the 3 hit quota is very much used up by the time the animation is finished. Human: if the human tries and fails a drop kick attack (which in most cases hits because of the magnetism in the game, on par with death from above) there is very little chance the survivor will die from that mistake, as the hunters melee attacks are weaker and slower. Comparison 2 Night hunter: Against experienced players, a night hunters attempted tackle is usually met with eating dirt and general dismay, and attempting to kill a human with chaining tackles is not really an option. Human: should the survivor attempt a drop kick on a night hunter, it will undoubtedly hit, even if the night hunter jumps beforehand to avoid the attack the strong gravitational pull of the attacks will most likely pull the night hunter back into the games desired position. and if one drop kick wasn't enough, it's not really a problem. Because for the humans the drop kick is in every right unavoidable and very much repeatable until the night hunter is no more. Now a few people and the devs would argue "oh, nipple. The night hunter is made for stealth and not close quarters, you are not supposed to go toe-to-toe with humans" With your spits used up (which boasts an impressive 90 second(!) recharge time 1v1) and missed due to survivors excessive dodge range & speed,(on a side-note I experience roughly 1/2 of my spit sticks arent detected, maybe due to some invincible frames happening when humans dodge or use medkit?) and your UV depleted because 3 seconds of UV light will leave you limping. What is left to do for the night hunter? melee attacks. and with what I stated above combined with UV light spamming from 1-4 survivors; you do the math. The way it stands now, unless the hunter is willing to delve into melee combat there is not really a viable way for the hunter to combat decent - skilled survivor players. I understand the humans are supposed to have the melee advantage, and the night hunter is supposed to have the stealth advantage, But the survivor gets the melee advantage, and the hunter gets nothing. As they always have the tag on you with constant survivor sense tracking. plainly redicoulus UV range, their very own tendril locomotor in the form of a grappling hook. and the camouflage skill, which I feel would be better suited as a hunter tool. As the balance is quite delicate in multiplayer games, here are a few suggestions: - make the survivor sense, give the direction of the hunter, and make it a cool down. not a long one, but something around 5-10 seconds. - give the night hunter a faster spit recharge - give the uv-light a shorter range, like 30-40% reduction. - give uv light shorter duration Thanks for reading!

    Hey guys, I can see that the Gold Weapons are creating a bit of a ruckus. Now, to all the console players out there - they do exist on the PS4 and Xbox One. They are definitely there. However, they are very hard to find/come by. We are discussing the possibility of changing the odds of getting them to be stacked in your favor, ie making it a bit easier to find them, but I do guarantee that the Gold Weapons are definitely in the game. Keep looking guys. They are out there.

    Problems With The Hunter

    The hunter has all the time in the world to kill a survivor who isn't actively attacking the nests. It's not smart to run into a fight with survivors without having everything you need. The only time you should is when your nest is under attack and you need to defend it at any cost. The reason that seems smart to you is because it's beneficial for you to have the night hunter rush in without a plan and get killed. If he's not doing what you want then he's playing smart. This is mode is not about hunting the night hunter. It's about destroying the nests before you run out of lives. They say this every time you start an invasion. If you honestly believe survivors should be able to hunt the hunter AND destroy the nest at the same time then you are one of the people deceived by the false illusion of power survivors had pre patch with ohks and the like. You were never meant to be that strong, if you were then the devs would have never nerfed the survivors strength.

    You say Call of Duty series and than say non Linear games? Call of Duty is f**king linear and a f**king childrens game. You just a little 14 years old kiddie, when i see what you say with your mainstream Sh** ... can't believe what we have to read in this forum sometimes ... xD There are so many awesome features in the game. And the parcour system is great, better then f**king exo scelett. Infamous? I've played for 10 minutes and put it away. lame game. So you dont wanna buy another game from techland? Not our problem. Go to whereever you wanna go. ^^

    Im just glad that there adding new guns and attachments in the next update can't wait!! Gets so boring 1 hitting zombies with melee weapons all the time... i wana lightmachine gun so i can go rambo on there chupacabra's

    If I'm not mistaken, the most viewed video in Dying Light's arsenal (over 6.4mil views and counting) was presented without any sort of HUD. Why do I feel slightly.. mislead? Now the game has undergone many, many changes and tweaks (2 delays?) since that video so some might claim that video as no longer being relevant to the actual release. However, from watching that video - I was led to believe that upon my purchase there would be an option to remove the (as the OP puts it harshly but necessary) kiddy on-screen displays that clutter the screen. He's right. This is a mature game for adults that aren't dumb. Let us think. Let us learn your game. Let us memorize where safe zones are so when night arrives we'll actually feel satisfied escaping a pursuit instead of just running in the direction of green monopoly properties on the GPS. Make it an option for the people looking for the extra challenge. We don't need a chupacabra quest to-do list covering the screen. If we want to know what our objective is, we can check it from the quest menu. Throw us a bone guys. This is 2015. We're not playing on the Super Nintendo anymore. 'Personalization, in the form of something so simple as on-screen displays being untweakable is disappointing to put it lightly. 'Don't get me started on the Survivor Sense. That feature is ingeniously implemented and makes me wonder why the minimap was even a thought during development. I encourage the attitude the OP maintains toward Techland's game. Why? Because if Techland listens to feedback, then they're getting an eyeful of the better interest in their game and it's mutually beneficial.

    A 'Wrach' It means Witch in Welsh. It fits the type of enemy it is (a spellcaster) and when said aloud in either its Welsh pronunciation or mispronounced in English, it sounds like a raven or some other sort of unnerving looking bird.

They listen to their fans and is probably the company that has the best community to help add ideas that they will actually listen to.
