    empty selection

    hi everybody. For the umpteenth time, I notice that empty selection occurs in DLDT. Previously, I did not attach any importance to this and simply restored them. Now when the number of objects in my project becomes more and more, I want to foresee the appearance of all kinds of errors and failures, and for this it is necessary to know their nature. My question is: Why do empty selection arise?

    empty selections arise when you delete all elements inside a group (or "selection"). this usually happens if you make a group of custom models, and remove the custom models from the project folder (the files it creates when importing an fbx). how it could happen otherwise, (without manualy removing any files) idk

    dont belive so - enter the selection and disable collision for items inside

    For some reason you made the irredeemably stupid decision to put a ridiculous amount of motion blur into dying light (with no option to turn it off). It makes the game look like chupacabra and gives many people headaches so they can't play it. Also, for some reason, 5 years later, you still haven't added an option to remove it due to incompetence, laziness, or a bit of both. Please don't be stupid for a half decade straight.

    I have 60+ hours into Dying Light on my Manjaro Linux setup. I was playing as recently as 2/28/2020. However, sometime within the last week, the game started hanging at the initial loading screen (the one with the white loading bar at the bottom). The loading bar makes it to the 100% mark and then prints this message to the console: malloc_consolidate(): invalid chunk size The only way to kill the process at this point in time is to run the `kill` command in a separate terminal. Things I've tried: Re-installing the game Restarting my computer Verifying game cache System upgrade Forcing the game to run with Proton 5 Any help would be hugely appreciated.

    opening custom door models

    a zonebox is found in data folder why not try another thing, and that is changing the mesh of an already existing door? i dont know if it's possible, but you can try modding dying light. so if you unpack the files from the game http://dldt.byethost16.com/wiki/index.php/Modding#Creating_Mods you get access to the game files, and in there, there is a file called presets/doordi.pre move that file into your data folder project (into the folder presets) that file has the visual meshes for each door. Preset("Indoor_MetalGlass_LabDoorA_Stadium") { SetField("MeshName", "lab_door_a.msh"); so, import a custom door model into dying light (my_door.fbx -> import into default folder).it creates a .msh called my_door.msh. now write my_door.msh where it says lab_door_a.msh and reload the tools then select the doorDi object on the map, select that preset with your custom door, and set the materials for your custom door. (like for the reflection example)

    problem with drawing distance

    i figured out how to remove the reflection @George_Ars all you need is create a material file for the material of the reflection. go to a model that has the reflection, look at material list. create a .dmt material file with the same name as the material in the list, leave the texture blank, and place the file in import_default

    Cutscene help

    An example of an in-game movie is when you animate something moving across the room for example if you wanna make a horror map.     Installing mods

    unable to load a save game would suggest you have installed a mod that changes the game data, so it no longer matches whats in the save game. Some mods are not comparable with existing save games, these are usually the bigger mods that change alot of things

    Mirror surface

    i don't think you can edit the animations. using this we can somewhat mess with existing animations a bit, but i think for a new animation, we'd need to import our custom animation, which i don't think can be easily done. good luck.
